The wages appear higher because of the tax shift inflation. Consider that 44% of the GDP is taken by aggregate taxation (local, state, federal). Where else does that money come from if not from the retail price to hire labor and its production?
If that 44% tax levy was removed from labor and industry, would not the price drop by 44% without affecting the bottom line?
You could pay a worker 56% and he's still have the same "take home pay" yet it would buy MORE.
Pay LESS, get MORE.

Craz-zee.
DEFLATION by tax elimination - what a concept.

But it's common sense. When you tax something, the cost must go UP. It certainly can't go DOWN.
Eliminate all taxes on labor and industry, and the price will DROP, yet buying power will RISE.

Then look at the greedy employers, not the illegals. If the employers didnt hire them, they wouldnt be coming here knowing there is work for them.

More proof that anyone who votes for Joe Biden hates America.
Biden is delusional. So are the people that support him.

Actually, Biden was talking about the people already living here who he wants to grant a "path to citizenship" making America strong, not illegal immigration per se, so the claim made by this thread is not entirely accurate. That being said, the fact that he slurred all his words together and clearly has dementia is troubling, don't you think, Dems?

In fact, America IS a nation of people who share common customs, history and language. Its many governments, delegated power to secure rights - and nothing else without consent of the governed - are corporations - all American governments are legal entities, and their constitutions are their charters. But the nation is NOT a corporation, nor are all people "in" the corporation.

Though the U.S. government enforces the laws enacted with respect to the U.S. Constitution, its authority is expressly limited by Art. 1, Sec. 8. Anything beyond those limitations are based on consent of the governed. It is not an empire by any stretch of the definition.

We have an eCONomy, but we are not the eCONomy.

People often mix up nation or state names.
For example, STATE, generally can refer to :
  • A people
  • A government, or
  • A geographic area
Check out your own state and naming conventions.
"Commonwealth of Pennsylvania" [corporation] has its main offices in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania [geographic state]. Though some make the mistake of claiming to be living "in" the corporation - as in "living in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania", Pennsylvanians live in their bodies located within the geographic area of Pennsylvania.

Nations refer to tribes. A nation is a kind of formalized/legal/sovereign entity for purposes of geopolitics. You used the word "origin" in your definition which really means "people of a common ancestry". But later on in your diatribe you drop that word.

This was Pat Buchanan's definition of nation in his book "Suicide of a superpower".... "A people of a common ancestry, culture, and language. Who worship the same god, revere the same heroes, cherish the same history, celebrate the same holidays, share the same music, art, poetry, literature. Held together in Lincoln's words, by bonds of affection, mystic cords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave, to every living heart and hearthstone."

We are not a nation, and we have never been a nation. Some of us, sure. Just like there is the Cherokee Nation, and the Sioux Nation, which are in-fact nations. But we ARE NOT a nation. Just because someone redefined nation to mean a bunch of people living under the same government, doesn't mean it is the true historic definition.

Illegals uses public services and dont pay their share. Often living 2 or 3 families in a single family dwelling. The taxes the greedy landlord pays reflects a single family dwelling.

Unpaid hospital bills
Schools having to provide tutors and bi-lingual teachers, costs extra.

In reality the only upside to illegals is for the greedy employers who hire them. Do you honestly believe that such employers pass on the savings to the consumer?
You're right on all accounts. Illegal aliens only contribute $19 billion in taxes while they take over $100 billion a year. They also send billions not spent in our economy back to their homelands. The only ones who profit from them are the greedy employers who hire them while the rest of us get the shaft in so many ways not only in higher taxes but overcrowded conditions in our schools, jails, hospitals, roads and neighborhoods not the mention the increase in crime.

I guess these pro-illegals want to bring back slavery. It's all about the almighty dollar and they couldn't care less about Americans losing their jobs to cheap, illegal labor. They sicken me to no end!

Those stats are comparing tax receipts to expenditures. I'm taking about economic activity. They spend money in places where it wouldn't get spent otherwise. Think of the Goya boycott, but instead of the lost sales coming from protest, it came from illegals who were kicked out. Counter-protestors tried to offset the lost sales by diverting money from products they normally buy to Goya. They couldn't buy from their normal producers AND Goya... It was one or the other. Economic activity was lost bc instead of food consumption being X+Y it was just X. In other words, you can't eat TWO dinners to offset that consumption loss.

And ALL of the cost to the state from illegals is paid for in economic activity. Economic activity is more than just THEIR tax receipts. It's tax receipts from property that would sit vacant, revenue for jobs that were created to service that additional consumption, local economies in neighborhoods that other people wouldn't live in.

If you really believe that illegals are getting underpaid (you're wrong about that, but I'm going to let you have it to make my point), then that's even more reason to get them registered into the system. There are two jobs available now that should pay X and Y, but illegals make it so that it's actually .75X and Y. Even if that legal employee takes the first job and gets wages back to X, now that Y job is vacant. Who's working that Y job? That illegal.

Schools having to pay for more teachers means more people who have jobs!
