Those of us who have refused to go along with the massive lie* that gave the racist terrorist group BLM the impetus to kick off months of death and massive destruction have been pointing out that the myth of “systemic racism” (and the violent consequences of the lie) are actually hurting blacks.

In this thought-provoking piece, an African-American professor points out that the “empty thesis” of systemic racism is detracting from the critical issues within the black community that hold them back, and points out how the resolution to them are within their own hands. Given that it is a black man (and Ivy League professor) saying these things, I would hope that leftists will not attack him as a racist.

* Much like “hands up, don’t shoot” was false, it is equally false that police are targeting unarmed black men for slaughter. Both these lies set off massive destruction, and in the case of the latter, over a dozen deaths.

"Systemic Racism" was a Media/Democrat created lie to scare people using a sound bite that could be repeated by Democrat politicians, Media talking heads, and Activists nationwide. It sounds "official" and ominous. However, when asked for examples, they never can give any and the very few instances of "police brutality" are outliers to the extreme yet the Media and Dems promote them as the norm. Just more false propaganda to push yet more income and wealth redistribution and societal control.

Interesting article. He states the same statistics right out of the white supremacist playbook. A black mathematician no less.

We have made huge strides in Civil Rights for all since 1865 but racism still does exist but certainly not at the levels that rise to "systemic" . It is a big lie to move the mob to do the dirty work of tearing down our institutions and upset law and order.

The whole nonsense that the Left is spinning of defunding the Police, that somehow fewer Police will lead to less shootings of violent black suspects that are resisting arrest might be true but who is actually going to be affected the most when Police are removed from the rough and tumble neighborhoods? The answer is it will be the good people that have no choice but to live in those neighborhoods. They are often minorities and immigrants.

Why are the Democrats willing to push the myth of the white trigger happy racist cop when the people that will be hurt the most by the lie are black people and other minorities? What are the Democrats hoping to gain by letting those neighborhoods burn?

So a black Ivy League economist, quoting statistics, is a white supremacist? I thought by posting an article by a black man, the lefties would stop with the “racist,” “white supremacists” nonsense. Ironically, you are demonstrating exactly what that professor is pointing out - and advancing this myth of systemic racism.

The only "Systemic Racism" that actually exists is that against White people being accused and demonized as Racist by the Media, Democrats, Activists, Corporate America, Sports Leagues, and Education.

Oh no, dear, the left really do believe that a black person can indeed be a "white supremacist". You figure it out. I can't. You're dealing with a mob that believes that "truth" is more important than facts.

I think he makes some valid points. We need to start allowing differing viewpoints into the overall discussion and start to hash them out. Start focusing on things like the family structure, and why it has been disrupted. Also question why the black population as a whole disproportionately commits more violent crime, and find the underlying factors behind this.

To the poster who said white supremacist statistics, it is not the statistics cited that are white supremacist, it is how those a-holes interpret them. We shouldn’t be afraid to bring up these stats to get a wider picture of the problem at hand, ignoring them just simply sweeps the problem under the rug.

We should look to where racism may be embedded in our society, shift our views towards and question it. We can also look for other stuff that can explain disparate outcomes that may elicit an easier process that systematically transforming aspects of society, that may not even yield the desired results.

Which of his stats are wrong?

The only "racism" I witness is black privilege and the black cultural disdain for education, hard work and virtue.
When the culture protects predators ("snitches get stitches") and mocks academics ("yo actin' white!"), it's not the fault of any other race / culture but its own.
Coincidentally, other minorities have succeeded on their merits. Should they be denied credit for their achievements because it makes A.A.'s look bad?
