I saw a clip of that on TV. It's really startling, and really shows how easily Trump could have been checkmated, all along the line, if he'd been held accountable, if everyone hadn't caved in to his strutting bullying.

can't rep you again, but it really is sad. There is no joy in calling this out. These lies are litterally tearing our country apart. I don't pretend the politicians on the left or right are perfect, they are far from it. But potus's before trump at least did things because they thought it would help. I didn't like gwb, but i always said (even then) i felt he was doing what he did because he believed it would leave a better world for his daughters. I just don't see that with trump. I mean yeah, he wants to leave them rich, and they'll have what they need, but the world will be worse for it, and we all, all our kids and generations will have to live with it.
I don't understand why these people are so happy to help him along. If you like his policies, fine (i disagree, but that's ok with me). Just hold him accountable to american values to get them done. Trump does everything he rails on others for.

if it's not railing against socialism, it's him giving crooked loans to kodak, which will eventually either cause them to default and become owned by the state (socialism defined), or will land trump and his chronies in jail for inside trading (which bipartisan congressmen are now looking into, due to the irregular trading that happened around that loan, which he's now pulled back and distanced from.)
trump is not a d or an r. That alone is certainly not bad. We need a lot more independent thinkers. But this guy is robbing our country blind, and putting us back centuries from the greatness that we once were. Why his base is so eager for that is beyond me.

"Weakness" is a good word choice. Trump imagines himself to be strong, because he blusters, makes flat declarative statements, threatens, and physically intimidates people. But he backs down easily and his ignorance leaves him unable to support anything he says.

There comes a time when all BS artists get caught. Lately though, he seems to be getting caught a lot. Being fact checked is a BS'ers worst nightmare.
People have grown tired of his daily pep rally‘s where he would come out in supposed to talk about the state of the coronavirus and explain how thousands of people are dying but instead he would never even focus on the issue at all and would spinet with pep rally techniques.
