During a coronavirus task force briefing, President Trump interrupts PBS reporter Yamiche Alcindor after she asks about his previous claim that governors don't need all of the equipment they are requesting to fight the pandemic.
The link is not working but I agree that Trump should not be subjected to the ridiculous cross examination that the hostile press puts him under every time they ask a pointed "GOTCHA" question.
I have watched some of the briefings and the reporters are dumb. They ask the same question again and again hoping they can get Trump to say something they can pin on him as false or a lie. Trump made that statement about hopefully opening America by Easter and the media has been holding his optimism against him. Now that there is more evidence in about the consequences of the virus Trump has amended his optimism.
Trump cannot win because the media refuses to give him an inch.
He really laid into those two CNN reporters yesterday. Calling them fake news, untrustworthy and pointing out their ratings are in the toilet. I don't know, maybe he's just had enough of CNN more than anything else. Just a guess.
"every time they ask a pointed "GOTCHA" question". he's like a sitting duck, every lie he tells just puts him in a gotcha position...he does it to himself. Who can resist taking a shot at a sitting duck...or in his case sitting clown ?
One way to fix that would be to stop embellishing the facts in an effort to stroke his own ego....easier said than done for a narcissist.

Yep. His comments about Eastern were always aspirational, but the lying press presented it as being otherwise. You know its truly something when the media and left are attacking President Trump for daring to have hope during these trying times.
Moving on, President Trump rightfully called out that CNN "reporter" yesterday for asking a question and using his comments about showing "appreciation" completely out of context. The CNN reporter then read the entire statement (as if he was validating his point), but ended up just showing how right President Trump was. The entire statement put the comment in a completely different context.

The CNN reporter intentionally cut off the president's quote (when asking that question) at the point he did in a way to alter the meaning and intent of the question. Typical for that network and for the MSM in general.

What alternate universe are you living in?
President Trump's ratings on his handling of the virus have been tied directly to his press conferences, where he is able to speak directly to the American public about what the federal government is doing. If you only listened to the MSM, you'd think most of America was against the president on this. Note, this goes for other things, too.

Is there really a need for this behavior???
He is like a petulant child who cannot own the words he utters. He wants to sue the media for replaying his own words in campaign ad.

All I have to do, is turn on CNN for 5 minutes. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is. After 5 minutes of CNN, it is obvious what their true mission is. In light of that, I fully understand his hostility toward them.
