Never mind. I looked it up. Assault used to be a Class C misdemeanor.

In some circumstances, it's a misdemeanor, it depends on the type of assault and what kind of force was used.

It is now a felony in the state of Illinois for any customer (or anyone else) to assault a retail worker who is enforcing the mask rule in their store.
Good. They should do that in every state.

Well, given legally what can be classified as an assault, probably not for all assaults.

How about assaulting someone in a round of the knockout game? I've not heard that was a felony. Basically if you assault someone in regards to coronavirus, it's a felony. Any other non-coronavirus / mask related scenario it's not?

Meanwhile Democrats refuse to prosecute actual felonies committed by rioters, Antifa and BLM activists.

Remove Every Democrat from office.
