The fact that the House bill is 3 times what the Senate bill is largely due to pork related to encouraging widespread voter fraud is really the only thing holding up the bill.

Also, I guess you need people to educate you so that you'll stop posting obviously inaccurate propaganda but the FY 2018 deficit was "only" 778 billion, that's nowhere near the largest budget deficit in history. In fact, the very next year when Pelosi took over the power of the purse she managed to increase that budget deficit to 985 billion.....which is still nothing compared to the staggering 1.65 trillion dollar deficit she managed the last year she was Speaker under Obama.....or what she managed this year.

Giving Pelosi and the Democrats the power of the purse is by far the least fiscally responsible thing anyone could do....and yet mindless partisans make excuses for her and blame others who have little control over the deficit. Likely because they don't know any better and are just parroting DNC talking points.

It's a battle he can't win. Pelosi has the power of the purse, if he vetoed every bill that got past the Senate, it would just lead to a shutdown of the government which he'd be blamed for. The people hold the power to getting rid of Pelosi and restoring RELATIVE fiscal responsibility to government. Trump can't do it for them.

Which is why they need to be voted out of power for the sake of the country.

They did compromise. Neither party is a hero here.

BS. The Republicans proved they were totally willing and capable of plunging the country deeper into debt. They controlled both chambers and the White House prior to 2018 and gleefully did it.

I'd rather have a split chamber, like now, to force compromise. It's apparent one party in total control can't stop themselves from hogging at the trough.

The Party of Trump are not fiscal conservatives. It did prove the 'Tea Party Patriots' are just hypocritical morons.
