How is anyone surprised? Part of the woke mob's postmodernist platform is normalizing pedophilia because our society is disrupting their "lived experience". They even rebranded it like everything else, now they call pedophilia "intergenerational intimacy"
The director: "During my research, I saw that all these young girls I’d met were very exposed on social media. And with new social codes, the ways of presenting yourself change. I saw that some very young girls were followed by 400,000 people on social media and I tried to understand why. There were no particular reasons, besides the fact that they had posted sexy or at least revealing pictures: that is what had brought them this “fame.” Today, the sexier and the more objectified a woman is, the more value she has in the eyes of social media. And when you’re 11, you don’t really understand all these mechanisms, but you tend to mimic, to do the same thing as others in order to get a similar result. I think it is urgent that we talk about it, that a debate be had on the subject."

Oh yes, I totally agree. I really believe we will be apologizing to pedophiles for arresting them and viewing them as 'criminals' in the near future. its just the next step in the sexual revolution/degradation of society.
The movie is about the conflict between traditional Senegalese Muslim values and an 11 year old girl’s intent in dance. Guess instead of dance, it might have been say soccer where player wear shorts.
It is set in Paris with English subtitles.
Guess those offended have never observed a typical dance performance by middle - school aged girls in 1979, let alone now.
Guess people don’t care much about the children pageant industry in the US.
Hmm would you say the same thing about Zwarte Piet in your area of the world?
Wrong country and FTR, I'm not a big fan - although it's one of those situations where reasonable people can look into the root and intent of a tradition. What it has to do with the difference between depiction and promotion, I am baffled to understand.
I can tell you that as the father of a 9 year old, though, they kind of just do this. I don’t entirely know where she picks it up from. I used to be a lot more nurture than nature, but I’ll be darned if there isn’t a lot of nature in how kids develop. We end up rejecting a lot of her outfits if we are leaving the house, lol
I’m kind of hoping it’s portrayed as a feel good story about how dance is used as a positive force in a kid’s life. I for one don’t have much interest in seeing it.
Isn’t the N.Y. Post sort of a semi-tabloid thing? Or am I thinking of something else?
