No. He won't go into the witness protection program.
It seems somewhat likely that he'll be acquitted, and in the next few months people will forget about him and move onto the next thing to obsess over.
The prosecution is asking for the jury to be able to consider lesser charges than he's being tried for - and the implication is obvious. They think there's a very good chance a jury won't convict on murder.
He will probably join the Daily Caller or Charlie Kirk’s media thing and become a minor celebrity on the right. He’s basically a cultural icon for a lot of people on the right.
Governor is set to deploy 500 National Guard to Kenosha ahead of the verdict. Hundreds of volunteers from LE all over the state are expected to be in Kenosha, too.

Unfortunate but true.
It’s not unfortunate. It’s wonderful that folks are allowed to defend themselves when attacked.
Here’s the way the left is looking at this. He shouldn’t have been there in the first place. But we can say that about many things. If a woman goes out for a night on the town, maybe barhopping and has a few drinks does that give the right for some rapist to attack her in a dark alley? People say “oh she shouldn’t have been out there like that”. That isn’t the point. He was out there. Maybe it was stupid. The point is and the facts are that if he wasn’t attack we would not even be having this conversation because the killings never would’ve happened. In this country we are allowed to self defend ourselves. Even if we Put ourselves in the high-risk situation’s. Another person is not allowed to just attack you for no reason.

This largely due to the existing video evidence showing Rittenhouse defending himself from angry attackers which was corroborated by the prosecution's own witnesses.
