The goal also is to make large gatherings safe from people who carry AR15s legally into crowds. There’s a faction of us who sees this as absolute lunacy and have watched our thriving bustling entertainment districts become battle grounds with the innocent partygoers picked off like targets. There’s a faction of us who are sick to death of that.

I can’t stand that moving the goal posts idea. This is a discussion, not a game to win. I’m telling you how a LOT of people feel and we’re sick of these rifles being legal and accepted in our shared public spaces. And I’m not speaking for BLM I’m speaking for the great hordes of us that think this desire to carry these weapons is outrageously dangerous. Guard your fictitious goal posts all you want.

So I guess people need to carry concealed handguns like Grossgreutz and Somieski? I am up for that. I have a Glock 19 with 30 round mag
Also, did you complain when black militant group carried rifles and armed to the teeth when they gathered in Louisville and Atlanta in summer 2020?

The goal here should be to enforce whatever laws there are.
If there is a law preventing people from carrying AR15 into crowds it should be enforced. If there is no law against it, then no crime has been committed.

Again, post links to all the articles that cover this behavior in your neighborhood.
Seems like it's happening every day?
You either live in Chicago, or your posts are not truthful.
Where are all the shootouts in shared public spaces?

Please link some instances of what you profess. It's lunacy to go near one of these "peaceful protests" and not arm yourself. 25 innocent people died because of the protests. Unless you've personally been in one, which I doubt, these protests / aka riots are NOT like a New Year's Eve Celebration where actual innocent partygoers assemble.

....is this sarcasm? because this is sooo off as to be near Onion worthy.
bustling entertainment districts become battle grounds with the innocent partygoers picked off like targets.
rioters burning and looting = innocent party goers?

What I’m saying is there should be a law. And I’m in great company. And that’s why this case resonates across the country. Because after the last several years we’ve had enough and this is the straw that broke the camels back.
