Scenes like this only occur in neutered cities that don’t allow citizens to carry, and have created criminal negligence by disallowing the police from doing their job. I giggle when I think of the end result should these asshats try something like this in an outdoor cafe in Texas. People will be disciplined with lead. This isn’t a brag. It’s the lay of the land.
I wonder if Governor Cuomo will have anything to say about this? He'll probably watch the video and notice that one of the restaurants had tables too close together and give them a Covid fine for it.
OK, so if it's Rochester New York, then it has been on Nightly News recently - the reason for these protests/riots whatever you want to call it - the death of yet another Black man, that took place much earlier, but the video was released just recently.
When I watched the tape, I had only one question - why the doctors were not there, during this call?
And by doctors I mean psychiatrists.
Because if the call came regarding someone's "mental breakdown," how do you want police to handle it?
They are POLICE OFFICERS, that's what they are trained for, not psychiatrists that are needed in these cases.
So now they are blamed/suspended for what exactly?
Cops are put in impossible situations. The dead man was known to his family as a threat to himself and others. He'd been kicked off a bus on his trip from Chicago to Buffalo. PCP intoxication found in the autopsy. Spitting at the cops. The spit hood is acceptable protection for cops.
One of Prude's daughters said 'The person that everybody sees in the video is totally different from the person that I knew, ... he's a caring man with a good spirit.' Too bad that's not the man those cops had to deal with.
Well, that depends. These diners weren't attacked at all as the title of this thread implies. In fact, they very clearly stated that they were there to not attack them. It was merely an disruption.
So, yes, since I am free to change the definition of "grateful" as the poster has changed the definition of "attacks", they were very grateful! Plus, a free meal? In this economy? Hell yeah!
What really sells it is the E.D.M. and all-capital letters like we're on Facebook, too. Excellent touches.
We'd fully support it knowing they were there to cause a disturbance to gain attention for the cause. We'd finish eating at home after potentially participating in the protests earlier in the day.
How jokey will you be when after your purpose as a "useful tool" is over and you,your family and comrades are sent re-education camps to die?
Look to history as to what happens to the peasant and intellectual classes once they finish tearing down a culture.
Obviously, if you're shouting "black lives matter", you are free to commit just about any crime you want.
It's certainly looking that way. Prior to these most recent acts of violence around the country, I watched the Los Angeles mayor give a press conference in the two days following horrendous looting. He just made excuses for them. "People are mad, we understand that." He really bowed down to the mobs in LA. It was pathetic to watch.
The fascists are exactly the ones who say they are not fascist. Actions speak louder than words.
