Ok, let's do it this way and see if we can get an honest answer out of you. Did Trump not state on tape that he knew how bad Covid was and downplayed the virus to the American people? It's simple. Stop deflecting onto other people and focus on him. Fauci isn't the President after all.

... and Trump isn't a doctor.

The "experts" have been wrong as often as they've been right. (See my post directly above yours)

Get over yourself.

Actually no. If Trump had come out and said it was bad I think a lot of people would have taken notice. If the guy is willing to come out and say that and possibly damage the economy, on which he is banking his re-election, I would have taken it very seriously. I also would have a lot more respect for him.

Would it had made any difference if Trump had come out at the very start to tell everyone how deadly the virus could be?

He shut down travel from China and he was called a racist. Pelosi was suggesting that everything was ok and to go to Chinatown while Cuomo and DeBlasio were also downplaying the threat by telling people it was ok to go out to dinner and to see a a show.

Trump was trying to prevent mass panic. If he had come out early and told us that we were all going to die the Left and their media would have told him to go back to his bunker and put on his tin foil hat.

If you haven't noticed by now the Democrats do the opposite of what Trump suggests just out of spite. If he had wanted to open the Southern border they would have demanded it be shut down and funded miles of wall.

Trump says the riots are bad, the Demos allow them and encourage them to continue.

The guy can't even break even with these people let alone win at anything because it might make him look good.

The Demos have shaped the virus and the shutdowns of the country and economy into a political weapon that they have been using with no regards as to who it destroys as long as Trump looks bad in the end.

Trump screaming from the roof tops that the virus was deadly would have made no difference just like this "bombshell" book won't. YAWN..

This whole thing doesn't pass the smell test. If Trump played it down so much then so did the "experts". Here's a link to Fauci's interview in late February where he said we shouldn't change our lifestyles. Seems to me if the experts were saying we didn't have much to worry about then how could we expect the President to be smarter than the experts. https://www.today.com/video/dr-fauci...et-79684677616

Fauci has also come out today and defended Trump https://twitter.com/i/status/1303763337088557058 Fauci has said on NUMEROUS occasions that Trump has done everything the experts told him needed to be done. I'm thinking, Trump being Trump, he was exaggerating like he always does.

I'm not surprised. I'm sure his people gave him all these briefings about the virus and he just blew it off and wanted to leave to china.

Panic porn Fauci just said the quotes are not a big deal and didn’t go against anything he was saying.

This scandal is over

Using your tactic then either Trump is lying that he was informed about the severity of Covid on the tapes or he was informed by DOCTORS that it was bad. Which one do you choose?

In the infotainment, internet trolling, reality TV world, you lie because your only goal is to be re-elected in November.

So you are saying that the Demoncrats have NOT been using this pandemic as a political weapon?

The media has lied and hyped the death toll and the Democrats have piled on to blame Trump for it all. That is not a lie.

The original models said that we could have 2 million dead, we are at a tragic number of what 180,000 but now that number is coming into question and could actually be slashed again.

It is almost like the Democrats have to make their case that it was worth it to lock down the country and wreck the economy.

Of course Trump could have done better but it sure is convenient to be like an armchair quarterback on Monday morning.

In fairness I think the severity of the virus also took the Demos by surprise. I like to think the best of people until they prove me wrong so I will extend that to Nancy Pelosi. I think it she was up to speed on the virus threat she would not have told people to go to Chinatown but then again what was she doing when all this was ramping up? Oh yeah she was locked in the basement of the House trying to make a case for the flimsy evidence to impeach Trump.

Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.
