WORST, most inept POTUS in history!
Ridiculous take. Staggeringly ignorant of history. President Wilson faced a pandemic that was 10 times worse than this one and never even mentioned it publicly. Instead, he shipped sick soldiers all over the US and Europe helping to spread the virus.

And what actions was Trump supposed to take? The "experts" still have no idea what we should be doing six or seven months later.

I'm shocked that he allowed the recording can't really refute that. Trump IMO is not too bright yet gotten his way though life by compensating with personality. I have had a few friends like this they are great at sales but dumb as a rock.

Maybe it was those Mini-strokes he had

In the infotainment, internet trolling, reality TV world, you lie because your only goal is to be re-elected in November.
Under a Democrat administration, the President handles public health the way the Democrats handle public safety in Minneapolis, Portland, Milwaukee, and Seattle. It's scary to think of how much worse things would be if our President were the stupid lady who managed to LOSE to the guy you think is so incompetent.

It wouldn't have mattered what Trump said in the beginning.

The Liberals haven't trusted him since 2016 and they never will. They don't believe anything he says.

Imagine Trump trying to tell millions of Liberals they better start wearing masks and avoid all social gatherings.

Would the Liberals listen to Trump rather than the World Health Organization and the Democrat politicians? The answer is not just no, it’s hell no! They would have listened to the people they trust the most, the Democrats who were telling everyone there was nothing to worry about as late as March. They would have claimed Trump is trying some silly scare tactic to make money off mask sales.

Could it have been handled better? Of course! But we have the luxury of 20/20 hindsight now.

President Donald Trump admitted he knew weeks before the first confirmed US coronavirus death that the virus was dangerous, airborne, highly contagious and "more deadly than even your strenuous flus," and that he repeatedly played it down publicly, according to legendary journalist Bob Woodward in his new book "Rage."

"This is deadly stuff," Trump told Woodward on February 7.
In a series of interviews with Woodward, Trump revealed that he had a surprising level of detail about the threat of the virus earlier than previously known. "Pretty amazing," Trump told Woodward, adding that the coronavirus was maybe five times "more deadly" than the flu.

Trump's admissions are in stark contrast to his frequent public comments at the time insisting that the virus was "going to disappear" and "all work out fine."
The book, using Trump's own words, depicts a President who has betrayed the public trust and the most fundamental responsibilities of his office. In "Rage," Trump says the job of a president is "to keep our country safe." But in early February, Trump told Woodward he knew how deadly the virus was, and in March, admitted he kept that knowledge hidden from the public.

Because someone said? Why believe what you post when you get so much wrong?
This happened in Februrary and March. This is when Fauci said it wasn't going to be very big as long as America prepared for it.

Again, it's up to the Governors of each state to handle the problem. We fought a Revolutionary War over a central authority. It seems too many have forgotten that.
