It is a new flu, without question more people will get sick and will die. Those with precondition will likely die as they are vulnerable. Still this is just a flu and there is no reason to get public to panic. There is also no need to have people wear a mask, keep business closed etc. It's time to reopen the country and have people get back to work.
This is not just the flu, in fact it is not the flu at all. Flu is caused by an influenza virus...this is a coronavirus. Completely different animal. And if you can't see at this point that this is worse than a run of the mill flu, you must have been living under a rock for the past 6 months.
[quote=tillman7;59120360]The book release is going to be major! Trump supporters, will still support Trump, because they have the same mentality as Donald Trump!
[quote]President Donald Trump admitted he knew weeks before the first confirmed US coronavirus death that the virus was dangerous, airborne, highly contagious and "more deadly than even your strenuous flus," and that he repeatedly played it down publicly, according to legendary journalist Bob Woodward in his new book "Rage."
"This is deadly stuff," Trump told Woodward on February 7.
In a series of interviews with Woodward, Trump revealed that he had a surprising level of detail about the threat of the virus earlier than previously known. "Pretty amazing," Trump told Woodward, adding that the coronavirus was maybe five times "more deadly" than the flu.
Trump's admissions are in stark contrast to his frequent public comments at the time insisting that the virus was "going to disappear" and "all work out fine."
The book, using Trump's own words, depicts a President who has betrayed the public trust and the most fundamental responsibilities of his office. In "Rage," Trump says the job of a president is "to keep our country safe." But in early February, Trump told Woodward he knew how deadly the virus was, and in March, admitted he kept that knowledge hidden from the public.
I am very serious. Trump will elected again and again and again. Democrats will be crying come November 4th.
He can’t get elected again and again again. The Constitution prevents him from getting elected, overall, more than twice. If he wins, that’s it. He can’t run in 2024.

What the hell was Trump supposed to do? Run around screaming "We're all gonna die" like so many have done and are still doing? Would that have made the toilet paper supply better or worse?
What about this?
Trump's fault too?
The experts have been wrong as often as they've been right... and lets stop pretending that nobody would have died under Obama.
Blame China... those bastards are the ones responsible.

"many journalists who covered the outbreak in the first couple of months of the year weren’t analytical enough: “Thus from the end of January through most of February, a soothing message got widespread traction, not just with Donald Trump and his audience, but among traditional media in the United States, which exhorted us to worry about the flu instead, and warned us against overreaction. It seemed sensible, grown-up, and responsible.”
From a Harvard epidemiologist
Looks like they had to change the headline from "“Don’t Worry About The Coronavirus. Worry About The Flu" to "Here's What We Do And Don't Know About The Deadly Coronavirus Outbreak"
"Update: This story was originally published with a different headline comparing the risk of the coronavirus in the US at the time to the flu"
If anything, everyone got this wrong, from the "experts" to the media. All we know for certain is social distancing , sanitizing , and masking up will greatly reduce ones chances of getting it.
