Forbes picked up on this story came out today from the Atlantic which the twitter link goes to. This is an insider who the magazine has close to the Trump campaign who is claiming that the campaign strategy to undermine the election. Trump must be going crazy find who is the spy in his inner circle. What states would be red battleground states maybe Arizona, but I can't see that happening here. The voting system has never changed in 20 years like most states can't see how the legislatures would sell that all of sudden our voting system is fraudulent. Reading the Forbes link says PA republican's are in discussion with Trump about doing this, so I guess this is a real thing.
The chairman of the Pennsylvania Republican Party says, on the record, that he has discussed appointing loyal electors with the Trump campaign: “It is one of the available legal options set forth in the Constitution.”

There is no potential coup, why would anyone start a tread another ridiclous rumor with zero credibility. Yes I read that you heard it from a friend of a friend whose grandmother heard it from her lawn person who heard at the bar last night.

The Trump campaign is discussing plans to ask state representatives to set aside the election results in their state and select Trump electors *even if Trump loses the vote in their state.*
I wish this were just another dumb conspiracy theory, but sadly, it isn't. I know a Republican with Ohio's EC who has already been approached by the Trump campaign about this, apparently to suss out those loyal to him and willing to subvert the voters should he lose.

Really...sooo...just ignore that a Republican leadership of one of the state in question has confirmed it....and accuse the other side of what your side is doing. Got it.
I only see this working in a state like PA where the legislature is Republican, but the Governor is a Democrat. States like MI the Republican Gov Rick Snyder endorsed Joe Biden. How does that even work if the Governor doesn't go along with it.
News media is trying to get Trump to go on the record he is going to undermine the election scare more voters over to Biden. If Biden can win Texas put all this to rest.
