Except there was no other DNA evidence to support the person was raped by any of the Central Park 5, only the confessor. I don't know if I can argue facts with someone who blatantly disregards them. You just seem to want them to be guilty.
I know they're guilty. The facts are incontrovertible. You've been hoodwinked.
You completely misunderstand the DNA thing. First, it was one sample. How do you know there weren't other samples that contained DNA of the others? You don't. Second, DNA was unnecessary for the conviction since they confessed and implicated one another. Third, DNA testing was a new thing back then so they weren't collecting samples for DNA analysis (Even though physical evidence that can be tested may exist, it wasn't collected for that purpose.) Fourth, they did find the semen of several of the Central Park Five. Is that good enough? Or is it only real if someone does a DNA test on it?
Finally what the hell does Reyes' confession to being one of the rapists have to do with all the other violent felonies the Central Park Five committed -- and confessed to committing -- against other innocent victims that night?
Weird how something that every single Trumper here has argued would be a good thing or excused is also somehow simultaneously an absurd Leftist conspiracy theory.
SCOTUS just ruled earlier this year that faithless electors still had to vote for the winner of their respective states.
The Supreme Court actually ruled that they can be punished for violating their pledge. It did not say they "have to" do anything. They are free to violate their pledge and face punishment for that decision.

K. Again, I suggest that if you are so confident in this, you should contact the New York DA and let them know they got it all wrong because you read some internet opinion columns.
The Trump campaign is discussing plans to ask state representatives to set aside the election results in their state and select Trump electors *even if Trump loses the vote in their state.*
I wish this were just another dumb conspiracy theory, but sadly, it isn't. I know a Republican with Ohio's EC who has already been approached by the Trump campaign about this, apparently to suss out those loyal to him and willing to subvert the voters should he lose.
I hope Joe Biden have Navy SEALS teams ready to remove Donald Trump from the White House on January 20, 2021.

"The justices unanimously rejected the idea that electors, who act on behalf of a state in the Electoral College vote that occurs weeks after voters go the polls, can exercise discretion in the candidate they back. The decision erased a potential complicating factor in the Electoral College as President Donald Trump seeks re-election on Nov. 3 against Democratic challenger Joe Biden."
What it actually did was affirm that states can force electors by law to vote for the winner of the state, eliminating any actual ability to go against the popular vote. You're 0-2 on claims today.

And then the state legislature says the election results are tainted so we are throwing them out and choosing electors who are not bound by those results. Easy peasy. And since Trump is already telling his followers the election is rigged, they will nod and applaud this wise and necessary move.

I didn't read any opinion columns, and the DA who convicted them (Linda Fairstein), and the mayor at the time (Ed Koch), and Mayor Bloomberg, and everyone else with a brain who has looked at the evidence knows they're guilty. The evidence leaves no doubt at all. And here you are -- so profoundly ignorant that you don't even know they confessed to and were convicted of a bunch of felonies that didn't even involve the jogger -- claiming that people who know the facts are being swayed by liars. No, that would be you. You watched a stupid documentary and now you think you know it all. No, you don't know a damn thing about this case.
its the Republicans turn to have a Coup, the Democrats already had their chance...and blew it.
