There's not that many people susceptible to dying from COVID-19.

Guess what? Were still having roughly 1K a day die from this, we're going to hit 250K and im sure that Trump will then go on about how "perfect" he did on it.

4% of the world population, over 20% of the dead. When you ask Fauci how he would grade us he just says he wont get involved in the politics, the numbers speak for themselves. Well. Theres the numbers.
Sorry, but you’re moving the goalposts because you want Trump to look bad. Talk about a moving target!

Again, we were warned back in late March or early April that if we did nothing, there would be 2 million dead; and that if we did everything perfectly, about 200,000.

Is your argument then that 10% of us have it?
That despite some evidence people can get it multiple times...that wont happen?
That if we suddenly massively increased infection rates our hospitals would miraculously work the same?

etc etc etc

I don't know why this isn't the headline every day all day on every cable news network.

Oh wait. I know why it's not.

My argument is that there's not that many people that are susceptible from dying from COVID-19, if you are under 50, there's almost no chance you die from it even if you get it.

It's simply not that deadly unless you are over 80.

Maybe you don't understand how many of those kids are going to suffer after their parents have to declare bankruptcy and their homes are foreclosed on.

It was always necessary to protect the at risk people. Last I heard, not a single teacher in Europe had contracted Covid from a student.

No Record of Student-To-Teacher Coronavirus Transmission

The Times of London reported that one of the United Kingdom’s key epidemiologists has said nowhere in the world has it been reported a teacher caught COVID-19 from a student.

The publication wrote, “Mark Woolhouse, a leading epidemiologist and member of the government’s Sage committee, told The Times that it may have been a mistake to close schools in March given the limited role children play in spreading the virus.”

The Denver Post reported July 28 that “much of the science on school safety across the globe indicates that the novel coronavirus, which has taken the lives of nearly 650,000 people worldwide but has largely spared the young, doesn’t do well in a classroom setting.

COVID-19 IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS: NO SIGNIFICANT TRANSMISSION AMONG CHILDREN OR FROM STUDENTS TO TEACHERS

Based on some cases of infection detected in the students before the schools closed, it appears that the children did not spread the infection to other students or to teachers or other staff at the schools. The results were published online on pasteur.fr on June 23, 2020.

Not true....this doctor was just 28 years old. A friend of my co-worker died from COVID-19 and she was only 45 with no pre-existing conditions. Some young children have also died...COVID-19 has no age boundaries.

You can always find exceptions even when the death rate is nearly 0....but those exceptions don't change anything. Most "exceptions" are people with serious health problems like lung cancer or end stage COPD.
