Honestly from a political point of view this is yet another master stroke.
He will no longer have to debate, he will get sympathy, and when he survives just fine -- as 99% of people do, he will proclaim what a hoax it is and that we should be getting to heard immunity.
Wake me when he dies, but until then, this is a nothing burger.
Raises an interesting point, can the President force a drug manufacturer to give him a vaccine that hasn’t been approved. Effective or not, if I was the Pharmaceutical company, I’d be concerned about bad press and legal liability if it didn’t work.
They are now saying that there were 21 people (family/staff) who flew on AF1 to the Cleveland event with Hope Hicks. And all but Jim Jordan flew back with her after the event.
I won't lie or apologize. All along I was rooting for this. Now I never ever wanted him to die, and he won't because the odds strongly suggest he will survive. But justice to me for a man who purposely downplayed the risks and mocked those with masks would be for him to get sick as Hell for weeks.
Taking him off the campaign trail at such a critical time is simply icing on the cake. It also puts COVID front and center in the campaigns, an issue he was trying to avoid.
I'm surprised this took so long with his totally reckless behavior criticizing masks and holding rallies. Remember him criticizing Biden for not getting out more, how did that work out. This is poor leadership on his part and his passive and active actions have helped this disease to spread beyond our control.
The hoax was what the media can get the Libs to believe.
See how Dems put a spin on everything. Trump never said the virus was a hoax. Another thing Libs made up and media reported. It was clear what he said.
Democrats' criticism of his administration's response to the new coronavirus outbreak to their efforts to impeach him was a Hoax.
Even the CDC said his response was reasonable in a interview and he was taking some actions.
And he never actually ignored it like the Libs said. The criticism he was doing nothing was the hoax.
And we already seen the results of the impeachment so we know his statement was true.
That's not what he said. He said "this is their new hoax". "They" meaning the democrats.
The implication of "their new hoax" was that this wasn't going to be near as bad as the democrats were claiming it was going to be.
And of course Trump claimed there would be only 20 then 30 then 50 and then 60 thousand deaths. Now he is claiming "only" quarter million deaths would show how successful his response has been.
Meanwhile he claims that if it wasn't for himself there would have been over 2 million deaths and that there would have been 2 million deaths if Biden or a Democrat was in charge.
Bottom line is that Trump called the Democrat concerns about this virus "a hoax" and it turns out that they were way more right than they were wrong.
