No, children can not consent to enter into a legal contract, which is what marriage is.

There are simply judges who don't care about the Constitution. They don't care about the legislative process. They simply want a result that they believe is best and implement it. That is dangerous. There are a lot less innocuous issues than gay marriage.
They tried the same BS argument in the Loving case, no? Everybody is "free" to marry their own race, so no problem! Oddly the SCOTUS didn't fall for it then, either.

Right, it's how you define it. Originally it meant no unequal criminal laws for black citizens. Now it means whatever an activist judge says which could be anything. That anyone could marry the opposite sex is equal application of the law.

This again. Loving concluded that race was the only factor. Besides, Loving overturned 84 years of Court precedent regarding what constitutes equal application of a law. It's not the same thing as the gay marriage decision that essentially created sexual orientation as a protected classification.

Most of history kinda sucked for most people. And I have no idea where you get the idea that the vast majority of the population backs your viewpoint.

How does a gay couple marrying effect you? Are you against gay people enjoying the same rights and protections as straight people? I don’t get it.

What do you not grasp about sex being a protected class? You cannot legally prohibit one sex from entering into a contract that you allow another sex to enter into. It's really very simple.

You obviously don't understand the decision that was handed down, because the bold is way off base.

It was applied to Loving v Virginia. Was that ruling incorrect?
Even if you go back to the ruling in the Plessy case the supreme court said that the 14th amendment only applied to political and civil rights. Nothing about criminal law.

There is no basis for homosexuality to be protected by or under any law without assuming it is a protected classification. The constitution doesn't require sexual orientation to be protected either way. It's a legislative option.
