Yeah, you wear the mask to walk in the bar or restaurant and then you don't have to wear it at all while you're seated. I was at a bar until 2 a.m. in Hollywood last night.
Not even while seated. Here people were walking around, socializing, and dancing, all without masks. Even the bartenders had them around their chins.
And it was FANTASTIC. F*CK MASKS!
While ordering some drinks, since it was so loud (due to live music) I needed to lean to the bartenders ear, and tell him what I wanted. His mask was on his chin, mine in my pocket.
I have no reason to lie. I live in Miami Beach, eat at restaurants everyday, and have been going back to bars now that they're allowed to reopen.
I have noticed a clear change in mask enforcement when it comes to restaurants and bars. Like I said I was at an indoor bar in Wynwood, with live music, no one wearing masks. But if you don't believe me, just swing by Lagniappe on a Friday night and see for yourself.
At the Hard Rock Casino the "COVID-19 Enforcement Team" people have disappeared. Thankfully.
City of Miami police want to make it clear they are still enforcing the Miami-Dade County mask mandate that's in place as the state moves to Phase 3 of reopening. While the county is getting more relaxed on COVID-19 restrictions, the mask mandate is not one of them
“They [officers] are going to be approaching, making sure that everybody is wearing a mask out in public as directed by the emergency order and siding those in individuals that are in violation,” said Miami Police Assistant Chief Manny Morales.

I don't know what to tell you, those articles are not reality. But hey believe what you want. I clearly see you haven't been going out. Let the people with real world experience with restaurants and bars here during the pandemic answer these questions, ok? You're free to state the mask policy at your mother's house.
No they're not anymore. Grocery stores yeah, restaurants and bars no.
It's not being enforced in the panhandle. For most of the Summer, I've seen patrons of grocery stores, big box stores, restaurants, wherever, not wearing masks. The weekend that DeSantis lifted all restrictions, the wife and I sat at a restaurant bar (rather than wait 45 minutes for a table) where no social distancing was enforced. Hell, I cannot tell you the number of times we sat at restaurant bars over the summer.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All guests must wear a mask or a cloth face covering which meets CDC guidelines. Face coverings may be cloth or other material such as surgical masks or Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE") (such as an N-95 Respirators) while in any facility at all times. A face covering over your nose and mouth must be worn at all times except when actively eating, drinking or smoking while seated and physically distanced

Restaurant bars are one thing, but what I saw on Friday night were people dancing, kissing, hugging, mingling, in an indoor space without masks. Bartenders with masks around their chins. It was such a beautiful scene. Not remarkable prior to March but now one of the most beautiful things I encountered. Almost normalcy.
The only thing that broke up the night was that stupid 11pm curfew. When we get rid of that, we're basically back to normal.

We don't really do bars anymore (not that I have anything against them). We like to go to bed early.
