I'm more likely to fit in living in Nashville than Franklin County.
So live in Nashville and let Franklin County be.

Good luck getting that through this brick wall of a thread. I give up.

Now that they have to admit their association with the Klan, that leaves even more reasons to take down the Confederate monuments.

Reading the article, I notice a few pastors wanted to do right. Instead of taking the monument down, the idea was to add some history, to add some balance, to include topics related to African-Americans. The Fuller Story Initiative took their proposal to the City of Franklin. The UDC, not the city of Franklin, had a fit. The people who run the city didn't seem to have a problem. The United Daughters of the Confederacy had a big problem. The monument wasn't even going to be torn down. They were going to place some markers in the town square to tell a more balanced story of Franklin's role during the Civil War, and Blacks are going to be included in this. It shows what the UDC was about. It wasn't just about remembering Confederate soldiers. It was about a culture of exclusion. I think the UDC perpetuated a myth of what it thought they wanted the South to be. That Blacks are excluded is no coincidence.
No one can challenge the realities of your statements here, it's a matter of historical record.

Also is same place as OP.

UDC is sortof like the Westboro Baptist Church with the ridiculous lawsuit bit.

Bravo to that school for refusing to bow to the cultural marxists and their cancel culture. Don't like it? Then either move to a different school district or home school!

Thank God common sense finally shines

As terrible as the Civil War was, it is a part of our history that makes us what we are today

I DO NOT ADVOCATE FOR what I am about to say. But, if the South would have won the war, either slavery could still exist or blacks would be in worse shape today! Thank God that didn't happen, but let's preserve our collective history, GOOD and BAD!

I don’t mind getting shot as long as there aren’t any of ‘those’ flags in my ‘hood. Makes sense to me.

I’d bet that neighborhoods with the occasional C-flag in the yard are safer than the average ‘hood without one.

You still didn't get the point. You were trying to paint a picture of Franklin County being better than Nashville.

You don't get the point. It's better in some measures I'm sure like lower crime rate, maybe more cohesion and community etc. It's more about what's your cup of tea and to live and let live.

It isn't the same place as the OP. Franklin is in Williamson County. It's a suburb of Nashville. Franklin County is home to Estill Springs, and Winchester. Part of Tullahoma is in it.

Just the same, I've noticed that no one has been able to challenge the historical validity of anything said. For those who do disagree, I ask those persons to do this: Prove me wrong!! If that can't be done, then at least come up with a rational reason for one's thinking.

The UDC is worse than Westboro Baptist Church, and that's saying something. The UDC can only inculcate its church members. The UDC managed to inculcate generations of southern children. As for the lawsuits, the comparison is right. I compare the UDC to the Communists and the Nazis.

Franklin County is safer than Nashville. Isn’t safer better?
