Not really though. One of the biggest complaints our friends on the left have about him is that he didn't use the pandemic as an excuse to act like a dictator. He had the opportunity to show his true colors and it turns out he's far less authoritarian than the outright tyrants on the left.

In a week the people might elect a puppet controlled by extremist authoritarians, but as of now, we don't have that problem.

So you don't think Trump has Authoritarian tendencies despite the wealth of statements by him and revenge tactics against those who speak out against him ?

However with ZERO evidence Biden who served years in the Senate and as VP for 8 years is somehow a puppet of someone overseas ??

That is some well reasoned and convincing logic right there. Such crazy accusations just sound like the things that the Russian Professional Trolls post.

I mean he's far too authoritarian for my taste....but nowhere near authoritarian enough for our knuckle dragging friends on the left.

To me both parties are far too authoritarian, but the choice is between someone who I think is too authoritarian but rejected the opportunity for power grabs on several occasions and Harris who is an extremist authoritarian.

If you care about civil liberties even a little bit, there's no chance you could back Biden/Harris.

Also, I never said Biden was a "puppet of someone overseas", he's a puppet of the far left authoritarians....that's why Harris is the real presidential candidate, Biden would step down or be removed from office by Democrats within the first year and everyone knows it.

If Puerto Rico and DC have to abide by federal laws and regulations, then why shouldnt they be states?
the District of Columbia (Washington D.C) was not designed to be a state

The U.S. Constitution provided for a federal district under the exclusive jurisdiction of the U.S. Congress, and the district is therefore not a part of any U.S. state. The states of Maryland and Virginia each donated land to form the federal district.

The District of Columbia Voting rights Amendment would allow DC residents to vote in Maryland or Virginia for their congressional representatives, with the District of Columbia remaining an independent entity. This was in effect from 1790 to 1801, and should be re-instated

as to PR: democrats can want all, but the fact remains it is up to the people of that territory

3 POTUSes have pushed for PR statehood, and still there is not

  • President Ford proposed statehood in 1976:
I believe that the appropriate status for Puerto Rico is statehood. I propose, therefore, that the people of Puerto Rico and the Congress of the United States begin now to take those steps which will result in statehood for Puerto Rico. I will recommend to the 95th congress the enactment of legislation providing for the admission of Puerto Rico as a State of the Union.
  • President Reagan favored statehood:
I favor statehood for Puerto Rico and if the people of Puerto Rico vote for statehood in their coming referendum I would, as President, initiate the enabling legislation to make this a reality.
  • President Bush (1) raised the issue of statehood before Congress in his first State of the Union message in 1989:
There's another issue that I’ve decided to mention here tonight. I’ve long believed that the people of Puerto Rico should have the right to determine their own political future. Personally, I strongly favor statehood. But I urge the Congress to take the necessary steps to allow the people to decide in a referendum.

Democrats can NOT MAKE PR a state...its a voted choice of that territory, then voted by congress, then must be approved by 3/4 of the other 50 states

PR has voted at least 4 times.....always AGAINST becoming a state...and its PR's choice

four times have the people voted for/against statehood/commonwealth/independence is 1968, 1993, 1998, 2005.....they don't want to be a state

all Puerto Ricans are already CITIZENS of the United States....and More Puerto Ricans live stateside in the U.S. than in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico

also about PR:
Here's an interesting article on Puerto Rico from the WSJ:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/stateho...xes-1509714000

Some outtakes:

"It’s larger than two states, more populous than 21 and outranks six in per capita GDP."

"Overall, it found that as a state, Puerto Rico would have received $8.8 billion to $12.5 billion from the four largest federal programs, instead of $7.1 billion. Its corporations would have paid $5 billion to $9.3 billion in taxes instead of $1.4 billion, assuming none relocated. And its residents would have paid $2.2 billion to $2.3 billion in individual income tax."

(Adding that up, it looks like they'd contribute more in taxes than they'd receive; a net positive. But it depends on whether the corporations relocate.)

It’s unlikely Puerto Rico will become a state any time soon, if ever. The prospect divides its residents nearly in half, and even if they VOTED in favor of statehood, it would take an 2/3 of Congress, then it would HAVE to go to a Convention of the states (constitutional convention) where 3/4 of the states would have to approve their entry into the UNITED States

Stop insulting our intelligence.

He said he'd give citizenship to 22 million illegals and give them free healthcare. He is a company man and does whatever the party tells him to do, which at this point is a "radical left" agenda.

The left made the same mistake, by calling W, McCain and Romney racist. That over-the-top hyperbole eventually normalized Trump who actually does play up racial grievances without hiding it.

Now the right is calling Obama and Biden socialists, which eventually will lead to an actual socialist Dem winning the presidency.

It's a short-sighted strategy. If the centrists in the GOP are accused of being racist, and all the centrist Dems are accused of being socialists or communists, those accusations become diluted. Voters will tune out and eventually the real deal racist or socialist will come along and get elected.

When did Republicans court pack? Learn the definition.

Many of today's Republicans have drifted way too far to the right. They talk about crazy conspiracies like someone is going to implant chips into their bodies and they talk about Qnon or whatever it is. Most people, both Repubs and Dems have no idea what that Qnon ?? thing is and most people have no idea of what Antifa is either. These are not things we believe in or even know about. Proud Boys? That's what Repubs want? I will not accuse you of that but don't accuse us of Antifa or riots because that's fringe stuff that people only hear about on the news.
"They talk about crazy conspiracies like someone is going to implant chips into their bodies"
Been proved fact. Being worked on at MIT. Multiple patents on it. Press releases from major universities.

"they talk about Qnon or whatever it is."
The only times I haver ever seen this brought up is by liberals and Biden followers. So my take is that the only ones reading/listening or whatever are the democrats.

"Proud Boys? That's what Repubs want? "
It's not a white supremacist group. Do some research.

"Antifa or riots because that's fringe stuff that people only hear about on the news"
Fringe stuff???? $8 Billion in damages ... 30+ people KILLED. Fringe stuff. Are you for real???

You are woefully and painfully misinformed. Put down the NYT and turn off CNN. Get some facts.

Good grief.

Biden is a weather vane with exactly zero principles.

That is paraphrasing a super liberal progressive (Krystal Ball), btw.

He isn't radical left. He's 100% pure plutocrat puppet. He always has been. He's Trump, just less obnoxious and way easier to manipulate and control with money and shame.
