How 'woke' of them to choose her.

Certainly I don't have issues with female or black actresses, but why do they have to keep doing these annoying things where they mess around with the original source material? I have zero desire to see a female actress as James Bond 007.

And 'revolutionary?' Right.

Lashana Lynch, who was previously rumored to take over Daniel Craig’s role as James Bond in the 2021 film “No Time to Die,” has seemingly confirmed the news -- and is opening up about the “abuse” she says she has endured since being cast as the first Black female 007.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the 32-year-old actress said she has been putting more emphasis on meditating and spending time with her family while taking a step back from social media amid the backlash she has received for her career-defining role.

“I am one Black woman — if it were another Black woman cast in the role, it would have been the same conversation, she would have got the same attacks, the same abuse,” she said. “I just have to remind myself that the conversation is happening and that I’m a part of something that will be very, very revolutionary.”

Well, no one will force you to go see her.

These efforts to fill a well-defined masculine fantasy role with a female actress rarely succeed. They'd be better off franchising a movie like Atomic Blonde.

People are such snowflakes. Seriously, why gives a frack? It's just a movie. If people don't like the story don't go see it. Problem solved.

It ends a successful film franchise. Maybe it will be the beginning of a new one.

I'm so confused.

Halle Barry pulled out of movie where she was to play a transgender man because of backlash.

Cynthia Ervio received backlash for playing Harriet Tubman because she wasn't African American. (Emphasis on American.)

But it's quite okay for a black actress to play a white male character?

I need to go to woke school or something.

Bond. Jane Bond.

How stupid. What's next? Bruce Jenner as Wonder Woman?

Im a James Bond fans and I’m a woman. No I don’t want a female James Bond, James is a man and Shouldn’t be changed just to be political correct.

Sean Connery is a hard act to follow enough for other male actors, much less a woman. Make a movie about secret agent women I don’t care, but don’t replace bond. He is a man.

If the new 007 definitely is a black female, I'm definitely not watching it. Ian Fleming is rolling around in his grave. James Bond needs to always be a white British male and I'm a person of color myself.

if white people shouldn't be cast in historically minority roles then blacks shouldn't be cast in historically white roles.
