Not sure double jeopardy applies.
Not in pardons anyway.
The nice thing is most who are pardoned can be brought up on many other charges as time moves along.
Presidential pardons only cover federal crimes. States like NY are warming up for many, many state charges against the most corrupt administration since Harding.
It will be enlightening to watch Joe come out and see his shadow. He'll disappear for 6 weeks then do it again. Fingers crossed he doesn't gum things up too bad. But given his extensive track record, he'll tread lightly and not get much done.
Yes, and thanks to Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, cutting through all the government malarkey and providing funding when asked, will have us all inoculated within months. That’s about the only positive we have to hang on to as the country veers against capitalism and promotes anti-white sentiment.
You had better send those thanks to the German government for providing $445 million for the Pfizer vaccine partnered with BioNTech (German company) technology. Not one penny came from the USA government for development of the first vaccine out.
In fact, they were already starting human trials before Operation Warp Speed was even announced to the public. But, of course, this administration tried to spin it as their “miracle” instead of giving credit where due.

possibly.
my thought was this: a person in jail gets pardoned and released, presumably now having served their debt to society. the pardon is somehow undone..... does that person now go back to jail for the same crime?

Hmmmm.... I would think that the following might give a better understanding.
John Smith gets pardoned for killing a FBI agent .
John Smith is released and goes and kills another FBI agent. Same crime. Under federal reprimand. Pretty sure he can be sent back to the prison.
His pardon only exonerates his current/past record for which he/she was guilty of.
That's why sometimes I think the legal system witholds some charges so they can later on , prosecute. Makes sense since good ole Trump is out of touch with how the judicial system really works. I'd absolutely applaud Roger stone being brought up on other charges after Trump is out of office. Let him serve time in prison. With no one to pamper his ego.

Trump did nothing. And there is no warp speed except in Star Trek.

Did you know that the original Enterprise cruised around at Warp Factor 6....which is 46,656 times the speed of light. According to my calculations that is over a gazillion, bazillion, trillion, billion, million, thousand miles per hour.
We look forward to watching the inauguration with glass of champagne in hand! As we wait for the monumental event, Trump golfs, screams voter fraud and complains that his wife was dissed by not being on the cover of a fashion magazine.......all while thousands die daily from COVID and millions lose their unemployment benefits.
glass of champagne in hand as thousands die a day! claaasssy!
