This bill was negotiated and agreed upon by both parties. Do you know how hard it is for both parties to agree. Democrats initially wanted $2000 but Republicans were against that. Democrats caved because $600 is better than nothing but they are still trying for $2000. Where was Trump during these negotiations. He wasn't part of it at all and now he all of a sudden wants to interject himself.
Finally, Dems' establishments asks Trump to sign the $600 checks bill
------------------------------------------------------------------------ President-elect Joe Biden is urging President Trump to sign the new coronavirus economic relief bill into law now or risk 'devastating consequences,' following Trump's Saturday morning Twitter rant.
'It is the day after Christmas, and millions of families don’t know if they’ll be able to make ends meet because of President Donald Trump’s refusal to sign an economic relief bill approved by Congress with an overwhelming and bipartisan majority,' Biden said in a statement Saturday.
Biden added that 'This abdication of responsibility has devastating consequences.'
It was a completely non controversial budget bill until Trump played the base with sound bytes about ****hole countries.
My memory is that there was always controversy about us funding other countries amongst congresspeople and citizens. It was never free of objections long before Trump’s time.

If Congress has you convinced that they work oh sooooo hard to compromise, they have you just where they want. Believing their lie. It’s Congress’s job to pass bills that are then given to the president. It’s not a president’s job. Congress needs to get along and stop the fake grandstanding.

Good for him not signing the bill, I don’t care if both sides who are wealthy and never had their salary’s cut or stopped coming in, to throw a few crumbs to the peasants and sends the majority to othe countries and useless organizations. Don’t forget Pelosi held onto the bill since before the election.

My fd, I have few mutual funds that you may like, low risk high reward type.
Trump asked for $1200 checks around oct. However, both parties had been sitting on their bums since sept. Dems wanted a new POTUS. Even, grandma admitted this was their tactic.
