The 1957 pandemic killed about 116,000 Americans.

In 1968 pandemic actually lasted about three years with about 100,000 deaths.

The coronavirus has already killed more than the total of those two and it is still killing.

That is not a "slightly worse version of the flu". In fact, it is not the flu at all. It is an entirely different virus, and at the time it emerged no one knew how it would behave. The first patients identified were extremely sick, and it was felt that it could have the 10% mortality rate of SARS or 35% mortality of MERS.

I didn't realize the 1957 Asian Flu was a pandemic, I had it and was home in bed for about a week or so as I can think back, and mom was my support...I was 18.

What about the Spanish flu? It killed 650 000 people back when the US population was around 105 million at that era.

Vlogger timcast posted a vlog about people snapping and refusing to comply with lockdowns.

Meanwhile in the UK, one journalist named Julia Hartley-Brewer is under the target of an angry mob for saying "...it shouldn’t justify the shutdown of the economy and the house arrest of the entire country."

Btw, will some folks wants to ban vitamin D after they read that article from the Boston Globe who mentionned then vitamin D will lower the risk of having covid if they get vitamin D? https://www.bostonherald.com/2020/09...ersity-doctor/

All those places our US Democrats run.

With only a very few exceptions, each of those countries are in more trouble than the US
