Why did Trump veto the bill besides the name changes from civil war generals on the military bases. He didn't have a problem with the last 3 defense increases, even recommended one himself.

Nice to see the senate working today doing their job.

He also wanted repeal of the protections for social media companies.

In my opinion, this is the real reason he vetoed it.

It's such a good thing low info news consumers who can only think in soundbytes are not the authors of our national defense policy, which is quite complex and needs to be if it bears any resemblance to actual reality.
