Two Democratic Congressional members forced to shelter in a crowded Committee room with Republicans refusing to wear masks now have tested positive for covid. One of them is a 75 yo cancer survivor who had only received the first dose of the vaccine. As for the other:
There is something seriously wrong with these people. To refuse to mask in that situation - with others forced to be in close proximity due to Trump-inspired mobs roaming the halls - goes beyond all bounds of decency.
That is horrible. It isn't that hard to wear a mask. I don't like wearing them but I do.

Oh, why not? If President Biden can give such wise advice of shooting people in the leg, why can other Presidents give similar wise advice?

I mean, what if what resulted was not so much the common Republican voter but something more like right wing domestic stuff. They had prelaid "nation building" plans, like ambassadors between their organizations, in the 90s. Mind you, that's just imagination of what's worse but basically, I like my country the way it is and would rather not have anyone change it into "and run this country the way it was suppose to be run".

Sounds like the Russian Revolution.....or the Iranian, where you have the mild people who just want to be heard.......and the more heavy handed conquerers in the crowd.

There was already a crowd of protesters at the Capital even before President Trump began speaking. And if it was just mob mentality, why did some people seem to be prepared? Body armor, stun guns, pepper spray, for example. It's like here's a crowd of protesters, and here's another crowd of protesters, and mix them together and BOOM! I think the timelines and the videos need to be organized so that we have a clearer picture of what happened. I'm sure the FBI has already done this, but it would be nice if some of the media did it as well.
Apparently, there were some lawmakers showing people around on Jan 5th.

It will take time, but I'm sure eventually we will see far more than has been made available in the media.
If you exclude those estimated 1,000-2,000 yahoos who violently invaded the Capitol. Along with whoever planted pipe bombs outside both the Republican and Democratic Headquarters. Plus the guy who stashed multiple Molotov cocktails in the back of his pickup truck, while hiding automatic weapons and ammo inside the cab. Oh, yeah, add whoever set up the gallows and hanged a second noose from a nearby tree.
We are supposedly more intelligent than our ancestors yet are still just as easily manipulated.
