I think our country has even more problems than I thought we did. I don’t know how we fix our country.

But I do think it starts with Congress. They need to set an example stop calling names, calling people deplorables..stop telling people get in people’s faces make them miserable.

Congress needs to stop the hate rhetoric. And then it’s the President and Vice president.

Stop saying things like blm and antifa are peaceful protests, some were peaceful protestors others were not . The people outside of the capitol building were peaceful protestors..the ones inside were thugs. I am tired of two different set of rules.

No, I just would not vote. I voted for Trump btw.

Biden had the perfect opportunity to prove he can be a more unifying President and pissed it away with the usual Democrat race dividing. These next 4 years are gonna suck.

The problem is as much as there are "deplorables" the right continues to equally divide and Congress is not the only problem. Look here on C-D. Most are red-pilled and still believe in Trump and possibly would have taken part in the riot. There was a protest, similar to the right calling BLM terrorists for the riots. The problem I have with this is while there were riots during the BLM protests, often they were not in the same areas or happened after police got involved. That said anyone using a molotov cocktail and planning to use it is a terrorist and should have been treated as such while jailed.

Yes. As much as I don't like the arguments being pushed by Trump regarding the election (and, to be clear, he does have a good legal point with some, but should have filed suit as soon as certain states changed the rules via executive order or the courts, NOT weeks after the election), he did not call for any violence. Based on the rationale presented by some, Biden would be an unpalatable choice, too, as he and Kalama--while not pushing for violence either--egged on protesters, some of whom engaged in violence, based on a lie regarding the BLM narrative. And it was even more reckless in their case, arguably, as we were already seeing large amounts of violence associated with the BLM/Antifa movements. The same cannot be said here with Trump.

I was a reluctant Trump voter but his behavior after the election was nothing short of appalling. I would gladly vote for Biden now.

I know here is a bit of a tainted sample so I would take it with a grain of salt. City-Data is known for being rather conservative friendly.

Trump had nothing to do with the violence. And if you bother looking, there are videos of trump supporters actually protecting the police from antifa jan 6th, and trump supporters pleading with antifa to not break windows.
On antifa pages, there were antifa peoole calling for their " comrades" to dress like trump supporters and disrupt rally, so trump supporters would be blamed.
There have been hundreds of trump rallies, and no violence initiated except by antifa/libs. We even pick up our trash afterwards.
This was no different. It wasnt trump supporters fighting police, nor was it a trump supporter that put a pipe bomb in RNC.
I guarantee you, that it was not a trump supporter that killed the cop. That is most likely antifa. We support cops.

No.
The great experiment with an anti-establishment leader did not work.

I think Trump did a better job than anyone could have expected, given the level of opposition he faced. At times he was entertaining, other times he seemed angry and over his head.
It was an interesting 4 years.
