Funny but that's the exact same way I feel about the Republican party. January 6th just sealed the deal on that for me. I view the ones who supported Trump's attempts to overturn a fair and legal election as traitors to our nation.
I feel that way with Arizona Republicans which is the Trump Republicans. If I would vote Republican, it is more McCain style candidates. Flake, I can stand besides the whole "I'm against Trump but I'll still vote with Trump", but I want a more principled McCain Republican. Sadly, the Republicans Arizona has clammored to are a mix of conspiracy theorists, racists and bootlickers. The Trump Republicans have to go. 35-40% of the national popular vote isn't gonna win elections.

I'd still vote Biden. As I said, if the Tara Reade allegations were a bit more serious and stuck, I wouldn't have. They didn't just like Trump's allegations over the years.

Kavalier has done us the curtesy to say the quiet part out loud. Most of those who are still Trump supporters at this point are just the modern incarnation of the KKK. Their vision of America starts with white supremacy and works out from there where as for the rest of us it starts with democracy and the ideas about equality and the rights of man that stemmed from the 18th century enlightenment.
I've been quizzing my local vendors as to their support for Trump. If I even smell a vendor who supports Trump in 2021, I'll find another vendor. Thank God for competition.
The problem is as much as there are "deplorables" the right continues to equally divide and Congress is not the only problem. Look here on C-D. Most are red-pilled and still believe in Trump and possibly would have taken part in the riot. There was a protest, similar to the right calling BLM terrorists for the riots. The problem I have with this is while there were riots during the BLM protests, often they were not in the same areas or happened after police got involved. That said anyone using a molotov cocktail and planning to use it is a terrorist and should have been treated as such while jailed.
Do you not remember the 100 days of riots and protests in Portland. Please let’s not call republicans names it’s time to start here..we need to fix our country not divide. Nancy, Schumer, Alexandria have called republicans, the President many names. It’s time for congress to grow up
