Trump was standing in between us and the swamp. Now we don't have anyone so the swamp will take over as you see them doing now, on steroids. I only feel let down the swamp is so powerful.
Who needs a swamp when you have your own president inciting insurrection against his own country? Damn.
Based on his past, I thought it might turn out bad, but I wanted to give him a chance. After all, he was our president. Perhaps the gravity of the office would inspire him to do great things. Plus, he has a rare ability to bend others to his will. He could have done great things.
I never dreamed how bad things would get. It was nothing like I predicted, starting with Trump kissing up to Putin and going on from there. And one of the worst things has been watching Trumpers act like hostages with Stockholm syndrome.
Well when they set it up that way I am not surprised. The swamp does not want to be deswamped.
Who "set it up that way"? Our Founding Fathers and Mothers??
You do know that the Declaration of Independence was signed in1776, and followed by the Constitution in 1788, don't you? The signers of both "set it up that way". The Constitution has been amended many times, of course, to refine and hone its meaning and functionality, but those two documents are the most important documents in American history and government.
Trump and his goons attempted to overthrow the Constitution last Wednesday. The storming and violent occupation and mindless vandalism of the Capitol in order to kidnap Vice President Michael Pence and hang him, perhaps along side other elected leaders, was the most un-American act by American citizens that I have ever encountered, short of Oswald's assassination of President Kennedy on November 33, 1963. Ironically, I last saw then-Senator Kennedy in the Rotunda of that very Capitol, in the summer of 1960 before he won the Presidency and I started ninth grade.

Reminds me of how liberals ruin everything they touch.
High taxes check
High COL check
Crime check
Illegal aliens check
Third world infrastructure check
Immorality check
American jobs offshored check
Funny that the last two Democratic Presidents both ended their Presidency with:
12-15% yearly stock market gains
4-5% unemployment
2-3% GDP
Obama let the Bush tax cuts expire...and guess what happened? See above. It is possible to do both - have a healthy economy and "high taxes." What did lowering corporate taxes get us exactly? A stock market propped up by buybacks (and the growth was STILL slower), higher unemployment, low GDP and high GDP-to-debt ratio.
Trump missed all of those marks above. He was gifted a great economy and it was flushed down the toilet in the end. He was over his head. It is to win when everything is already great. He just fooled half the country into thinking that the country wasn't great to begin with.
I'm a Democratic moderate, not a "liberal", but I'll give this a go:
1. A more effective government led effort to control and overcome Corona virus. Biden has stated that he will use the War Production Act to increase the supply of vaccines, and will be working to improve the speed of the roll-out, distribution and administration of the shots to the public. He has also stated that he'll work with and respect the advice of Dr. Fauci and the CDC.
2. Improved economy, as Corona virus is defeated and stores reopen and more jobs are available. Not so much working from home. Schools, churches, etc. reopening. Life slowly returning to pre-virus normal, though at a slower pace than we'd all like.
3. More regard for the environment and protecting the public's interest in it from big business/big oil interests.
4. Improved relations with our traditional foreign allies. More foreign leaders visiting the United States, when travel become feasible again.
5. More humane treatment of the most vulnerable among us, with assistance to help them thrive at their best level, whatever that may be.
6. A President who tells us the truth and who is an intelligent and empathetic man of conscience, with strong experience in both the Legislative and Executive Branches of our government and deep knowledge of how our government is intended to function.
7. Eventually, a more peaceful and civil society, but this is going to take time and trust.
That's seven things I think we can realistically expect to occur during the Biden Administration. All are sorely needed and should be welcomed by patriotic Americans.
