Unfortunately for the USA the answer is yes. There are many who spew that type of toxic propaganda. Some just rote regurgitate the venomous words without critical thought and others intentionally craft and brandish their rhetoric for odious and nefarious purposes.

Tragic times in which we reside, as we have a major political party in our land which has grasped the radicalization of grievance and is immune to fact and devoid of decency in their effort to maintain power. They have created and become a cult that belligerently will not operate within the ground rules of our system---you know where candidates concede when they lose, respect a free press, stick to facts and embrace majority rule.

We just witnessed, a mere 6 weeks ago, a horrific & tragic result of this type of radicalization.

So to bring it back to the topic of this thread, perhaps if Trump had been a real POTUS--one who valued our nation's foundational principles, was loyal to his sworn oath, respected his fellow Americans and our form of government instead of behaving like a villainous character who weaponized conspiracy theories & bigotry & distrust, who radicalized his supporters, and who, as the leader of our United States, was deliberately & recklessly divisive---he would have had a second term. As it is, democracy loving citizens, believers in our country's promise and potential, voted the poser out.

America got rid of Trump, but distressingly, Trumpism's pernicious poison persists.

No covid would have made it easy.

My only big surprise was Georgia.

2 other surprises but not as big were how far red OH has gone and FL was not closer.

And that's before we get to the economic matters - tax cuts that (as usual) benefit the wealthy while the working and lower-middle class get table scraps, if anything at all. And do I have to bring up his volatile temperament and cozying up to the alt-right ("Stand back and stand by" to the Proud Boys), or his embarrassing level of staff turnover at the White House?
Trump`s remark about not wanting to cause a panic is interesting in light of the fact that he said there was a caravan of thousands of killers and rapists heading for our border. Panic is what they did and now 225 of his goons are locked up with more terrorists waiting for that knock on the door from the feds.

Trump and his supporters are oblivious to the pure irony of their claims.

How Trump Could Have Won Re-Election?

He cheated in every way he knew how. There was nothing more he could do.

It is not possible he could have won under any circumstances.

First impressions are lasting. I think Trump lost the 2020 election in 2017 ... early in 2017! That's when a majority of Americans realized how unfit he was for the job. After that, nothing he did persuaded the people that perhaps they were being hasty in their initial judgment about him, it was a four year dumpster fire.

Survey results from the aggregators 538 and RCP bear this out.
