So if I put up a Frida Kahlo in the Oval Office, is that some admission that I’m a communist? Or perhaps I put up some Kenneth Howard aka Von Dutch...does that mean I’m also a racist?

This is kind of petty.

It never ends with Democrats, they support and encourage illegal immigration, and yet invoke the Caesar Chavez' name and legacy, while simultaneously spitting on everything Chavez stood for.

As I said in an earlier post, this is like David Duke invoking the name Martin Luther King Jr, and showing off a bust of MLK to pander to blacks. Duke didn't respect what MLK believed in, anymore than Biden respects the views on immigration the Caesar Chavez stood for.

Wouldn't unions help bring back manufacturing to the US? Or was that why they left. Maybe he wants to make a point to the folks that whine about no jobs. You have to protect the workers.

Well, all the union members associated with, or supply support for the Keystone XL Pipeline will not be Biden fans.

That phase was approved by trump in 2017 - why hasn't it even been started yet?

Biden has a very well defined policy about protecting the border, as well as a plan for LEGAL immigration. Much like Reagan, he also favors a path to citizenship for people here illegally, but it's far from a gimme. It's an 8-year plan to deal with a problem that has existed longer than he's been alive. (And as you guys like to point out, that's been a LONG time.)
If Biden isn't pro-illegal alien then why does he want to give them amnesty and citizenship and wants to stop building the wall so that more can get into our country? He raised his hand during the debates to give them health insurance also. I'd say that is pretty pro-illegal alien.

He has no plan to protect our border. He left that out of his proposals except to say there will be no more wall building and hinted he might tear down what has already been built. It doesn't matter how long it would take an illegal to gain citizenship they shouldn't be getting it at all that's what makes Biden a pro-illegal alien. He has given no consideration to the American worker who needs the jobs back that they are holding and being low waged earners with many dependents they will continue to be net takers not net givers. He has given no consideration to the extra demands they have put on our social and natural resources either by allowing them to remain here. All he and his fellow Democrats care about is making citizens out of them who will vote Democrat and keep them in power eternally. He has also given no consideration that most of these illegals are felons for stealing ID's to work and survive in our country but he wants to reward them with our citizenship? WTH?

Yet Chavez also opposed illegal immigration which is in direct conflict with Biden's intention of rewarding them with our citizenship. Having a bust of Chavez in his office based on that makes no sense. IMO, he is just pandering to Hispanics because Chavez was also one. Many don't know what he really stood for they just think that Biden is trying to be inclusive of them and he is just playing identity politics which is what Democrats always do.

Chavez came along at a time when things were changing in spite of him. Farm workers were wanting more and more to stay in one place and live, rather than be migrant workers going back and forth across the border. Farmers were seeing the desire by workers and starting to construct more permanent housing for them. Chavez help keep things moving in that direction. For the goals of Chavez to work, the farm workers needed to be legal residents of the US, because if cheaper (migrant) labor was allowed in they would make the legal residents desire to stay in one place untenable. Of course he was against illegal immigration, because the people he represented were the ones to directly suffer from illegal immigration.

Chavez focused on farm workers and his mission was to help their plight. That's why he had no problems telling the truth. Illegal immigrant labor threatened their jobs and help bust or minimize unions. A focused union is worried about their membership and/or workers not national politics. This is where a lot of unions fail because their tactics and contracts won't transfer over to every employee and company across the board. Unions need to stay focused on their membership and the company/ies they are dealing with.
