That's pretty drastic. Maybe they could join the sharing economy and AirBNB the second yacht though.

People's tolerance on unfairness is higher than I thought.

I don't know that it's the case but especially the newer bunch of online brokers almost always run through a clearing house. If the clearing house isn't selling, then nothing you try and buy through a broker is going to go through no matter what the broker may or may not want to do. That doesn't apply to TD Ameritrade, E Trade and whatnot. They self clear or using a captive entity for clearing rather than Apex or IB or whoever.

Anyway non-regulatory stop orders aren't unheard of. It's just unusual for them to happen because of retail investors action.

Maybe they can Learn to Codeâ„¢ for Robinhood or TD Ameritrade.

Let's take bets on which target they aim their ire at:
  1. The autistic collective who figured out how to work the system to their advantage, or

  2. The retail trade platforms who changed the rules on the fly to shield their institutional bosses from the consequences of losing their bet.

There is a class action lawsuit against Robinhood already. I logged on to buy some stocks and couldn’t access the app until mid-day. They are horrid for stopping the purchase of these sticks to drive the price down. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I know several people that had significant money on GME, AMC, NOK and BB

Oh yeah, and in a remarkable coincidence, Discord discovered /wallstreetbets is guilty of "hate speech" at the very moment powerful hedge fund managers took to the news channels to complain about how they're being taken advantage of and "someone needs to do something about it!"

Any lingering doubt about whether the system is rigged have been utterly erased. They can't afford to even try to hide it any more.
Tim Pool I had no idea you were on CD!!

on point as usual
