Its passed that already imo, you cant disable ONLY buying on a stock. Blatant manipulation. They would rather eat the loss in court than lose potentially 10s of billions of dollars - they know it is illegal and simply do not care.

And more to the point, they know there's no chance of any of them ending up in jail.

Just as 2008, no bankers ended up in jail, nothing of any consequence will happen here.

The people cannot win. It's all about the money.

Sigh...AOC is clueless on any of this whether she is right or not.

She has zero, hell negative, financial knowledge and sense.

Yeah, this is big news.

Some elites and hedgefund corporations who make large sums of money betting on stock futures got wind the peons / lower class are working them at their own game and pulled some strings to some of the platforms which allow stocks to be bought and sold and are popular with the younger generation. These platforms shut down buying these specific stocks. Can't have the scrubs and Peons making a buck now.

Stock market is like a casino. House rules. Odds are house will win when played long enough. When word gets out someone is taking from the house (in this case not even cheating) where the house regularly takes from so many, game is shut down and person is banned.

Its a rigged game folks. The free market is just smoke and mirrors. Only the rich, those with enough wealth to diversify (not just $30 total in one stock) and corporations should be able to collaborate and game the system.

I am to a degree.

While the conversation and debating here can get pretty intense, I think we all know in the end that we are all just Little Guys. And this is direct attack on Little Guys everywhere, no matter what their politics. I think most of the posters here are smart enough to see that as well.

And this is the reason why, at least in the 32 years I've been voting, that leaders thrive of the misdirection of division. A unified citizenry is the enemy of the politician.

In this case, it's easy for rational Americans to understand that we are in the same boat.

Has someone suggested that the hedge fund CEOs cut back on lattes and avocado toast?
