The hatred runs very deep with Democrats and left. The man donates a State Park and they want everything removed from him.

He dumped the land because it was useless. It was a bad business decision, he couldn't develop it so he 'donated' it -- meaning dumped it.

Think of it like the folks who walked away from their house because they owed more than it was worth.

And -- if he donated without any condition on name -- then -- too bad, so sad, get over it.

By the way -- the campaign to change the name started in 2015.

What a petty thing for those NY legislators to pursue. What small small, pathetic people.

It has a $100M valuation when donated it and yes ive walked my dog there before maybe about 8 years ago.

So this is your excuse to cope. The hatred runs deep with all leftists.

Apparently he bought the property for 2 million with plans to develop it. Found out it there were too many problems to be able to develop it. So he "donated" it...and then wrote it off as being worth 100 million.

Trump gave it a valuation of 100 million.

And actually in 2016 Trump claimed it was worth 26 million ---- but never had the land surveyed/assessed.

He dumped it because he couldn't develop it -- he should have only been allowed to write off what he paid which was just under 2 million

That 100 million seems to pop up b ut in 2016 official Trump statement was they valued it at 26 milllion.

It would be like if you walked away from your house and told the bank you donated a million dollar home --- when it was valued at 500K......

I bet your house was valued alot differently in 1990 verses 2005, either way its premier land that warranted a State Park.

The topic is the bigotry and hatred to change land named after its donor.
