The Feds thought they had a valid case against Ryan, Amond and Cliven Bundy, until they fired their lawyer(officer of the court) and presented the Constitution to the court, themselves.
The prosecutor: "We don't use, or go by Constitutional Law"
Trump told all those people to march to the Capitol, and they followed his orders. He was the commander in chief afterall!
Responsibility ultimately falls on Trump.
I don't typically get into discussions about muh insurrection but a correction is in order here.
The troublemakers were already at the capitol before Trump finished his speech. They weren't even there to hear Trump say to PEACEFULLY march to the capitol to protest.
As for responsibility for what went down, that would fall to the people responsible for security in DC and at the Capitol. This was a permitted protest with expectations of a large turnout. Why wasn't the city prepared? It's not like protests in DC are uncommon. They know what they're doing there. So why the lack of preparation and weak response, and why does that fall to Trump?
Rhetorical questions, btw. I'm not likely to read or reply to any response. Just correcting the record.
Arguing a 2-year old post (OP started thread in Feb 2021)
That ship has sailed.
Convicted & sentenced.
A 19 year prison sentence for some of these oath keepers. Politically motivated murderers like Shannon Brandt get lighter sentences than that.
I wish such fervency for the law and protection of the capitol had been administered for others. We might be seeing calls for Mayor Bowser's resignation for refusing to agree to have the national guard deployed that day.
I don't have the full details of this woman's story but she sounds like she may have been manipulated along with so many others that day. A bona fide false flag if ever there was one.
We still haven't had any accountability for the parties who instructed the capitol hill police to stand down that day or the numerous plants that were encouraging the rioters to break in. I'd like to presume that you're as concerned that justice gets meted out against John Sullivan, Jade Sacker and Ray Epps as one Mr Rhodes was convicted of, courtesy of the 'criminal justice reformer' (for fine upstanding gentlemen like Shaurn Thomas), Amit Mehta.
She got 8.5 years in prison. She's also trans, which I didn't know before.
