one doctor thinks there is no real way to know how many died of covid because there are so many respiratory diseases. yes, people are dying from this but they overreacted. they should have had selective quarantine for the elderly and let the young keep their freedom. freedom is more important than safety.

So unless you have a credible reference to explain why the overall death rate in the US increased by almost the exact number of reported deaths by Covid, your post is irrefutably wrong.

how do you know if the real reason for the deaths were obesity? old age? diabetes? I heard deaths did not increase in 2020. what happened to the flu? Did it decide to disappear this year?
they had covid but the real reason for death could have been they would have been dead in months anyway. remember this disease affects the elderly the most and in nursing homes. your life expectancy in a nursing home is not very long you go there to die. the reason why other countries had fewer covid deaths like Taiwan is that they have a lot fewer comorbidities. they are not obese like Americans. they don't have as many cases of diabetes. They might have less cases of heart disease do to their diet is healthier than Americans.
