Florida reported far fewer coronavirus cases in the week ending Sunday, adding 27,028 new cases. That's down 21% from the previous week's tally of 34,194 new cases of the virus that causes COVID-19.

Florida ranked ninth among the states where coronavirus was spreading the fastest on a per-person basis, a USA TODAY Network analysis of Johns Hopkins University data shows. In the latest week coronavirus cases in the United States decreased 16.9% from the week before, with 286,109 cases reported. With 6.45% of the country's population, Florida had 9.45% of the country's cases in the last week. Across the country, seven states had more cases in the latest week than they did in the week before.

Across Florida, cases fell in 45 counties, with the best declines in Miami-Dade, Broward and Hillsborough counties.

For all the liberals who are so keenly interested in the "failures" of Florida, I figured I'd update you. And no, wearing useless cloth masks has nothing to do with the decline.

It's been over a month since everyone 16+ could be vaccinated in Florida, I would think cases would only go down from here. Vaccinations = the end.

Looks like the "Neanderthals" are smarter than the President and the CDC, huh?

Worth noting also that this is after millions traveled there from all over the country for spring break during March/April.

They’re still here. I haven’t been able to find a parking spot on Hollywood Beach on the weekend for the last two months.

AND they didn't stupidly destroy their own economy. Everything has been open with no mask mandate for a while.

Duh, vaccinations. Florida has had a pretty good vaccine rollout. The old people are 90% or better.

Using the information we have thus far vaccinations =natural immunity. Being vaccinated prevents/lessens symptoms and fatality. Natural immunity prevents/lessens symptoms and fatality. Its been a year, I could be wrong but I'd guess most have already contracted Covid and fewer people are now being tested.

Um no.

What percent of the population was vaccinated and when?

How many weeks till "full protection"?

Your statement is a horribly wrong assumption.
