Every state will be different based on many Pandemic related facts and timing within the Pandemic.
Most are going down. But the bigger deal is deaths are down. And that is because most of the high risks have been vaccinated. So the bulk of new cases are happening in the younger and healthier unvaccinated populations, that don't commonly die from Covid 19
If we did not have the highly successful vaccination program we have in the US we would look worse than India right now with Florida among the states leading the way. We have done a terrible job of containment with mitigation. Our death rate and infection rate is much, much higher than India. Vaccination has been our salvation.
Has Florida led the way every step of this pandemic, considering it's population of 22 million, highly vulnerbale older, as well as the transient vacationers, snowbirds and seasonal renters.
Oh .. and it's been OPEN since May 2020.
Considering ALL those factors ... how's Florida been doing compared to states with full-on restrictions, no tourists and healthy demographics?
The gov. of Florida is sure pulling a line of BS on its citizens by telling them they have the highest rate of decrease when it is actually because Florida has such high numbers of COVID to begin with!
What's the total population of Florida?
How many tests were administered?
Why do people NOT look at all the information?
My guess is that it takes time and thinking. Can't just parrot: FLORIDA BAD!!!!!!
Well that's good news then. It is approaching summer season in the US so cases would be expected to decline naturally across the board. Vaccinations help significantly, of course. If we experience another surge, I speculate it is most likely to be from a variant.

Florida is doing great. A model for how this should have been handled.
Florida spends a lot of time in the fresh air outside. I seldom see a lot of smokers, I’m sure they are around but for the most part. Hot sun n salty water and fresh air has to help our immune systems.
For all the liberals who are so keenly interested in the "failures" of Florida, I figured I'd update you. And no, wearing useless cloth masks has nothing to do with the decline.
Right? I dont get how they seem to think its anything but that. Maybe theyre trying to astro-turf reality so desantis looks better for 2024.
The bodies weren’t piling up even before the vaccine
