Child Tax Credit Expansion Kicks In July 15 With Monthly Payments to Families

Excerpts from this link https://www.wsj.com/articles/monthly...15-11621249203 (my italics):

Tens of millions of households will receive up to $250 a month per child between age 6 and 17 and up to $300 per child under age 6, based on their ages at the end of 2021. The payments will be made on the 15th of every month, unless that date falls on a holiday or weekend, the Treasury Department said Monday.

The credit isn’t just larger. Congress made two other changes that effectively convert the credit into a near-universal child allowance. First, it made the credit fully refundable, which means that the entire amount can go to households that don’t make enough money to pay income taxes. Before, $1,400 of the $2,000 credit was refundable.

In addition, Congress ordered the IRS to begin regular payments of the credit, turning the lump-sum refunds during tax season into a routine benefit for 2021. Parents will get half of the credit’s full value over the course of the second half of 2021, shrinking the tax refund they would otherwise get in early 2022.

Democrats have hailed the credit expansion as a historic poverty-fighting effort. President Biden has proposed extending the expanded credit through 2025, while some congressional Democrats have called for making the new rules permanent.
END QUOTED EXCERPTS

When will this enforced and involuntary generosity end?

If the Republicans don't take back the Congress in 2022, then I truly feel and hope that there actually WILL be some kind of revolt!
It’s basically a massive expansion of welfare, and it is the direct result of the Marxist left striving to make everyone equal.

I just spoke with a 24-year-old mother of three young children, renting an apartment, and she told me that with the extra $1000 a month she’s getting from “the government,” she now “earns” enough to qualify for a mortgage on a four-bedroom house. She is currently house-hunting.

The Democrats have bought her vote for the next 60 years.

And there we go. Just what I said.

Let's remember that the anti-abortion talk from most so-called "Christian" conservatives would change real quick when presented with the incontrovertible fact that the vast, vast majority of abortions are done by impoverished, liberal, women of color than any other group. Sure, some occasional conservative white middle class women have abortions, too, but statistically, that's much less common.

If it weren't for abortion, we'd have a much bigger welfare problem. There would be even more of these children roaming about, even more of them to support. And most of you don't even want to support the ones existing right now.

Either you allow them to be born, and thus accept fiscal responsibility for helping to raise them -- or else you start doing what this poster said: force them to have birth control and sterilization.

Anything else is completely unfeasible, and yet morally bankrupt Repubs and Dems pretend their ideologies on these things are somehow practical and consistent.

American Solidarity Party is the ONLY one pro-life, consistently.

Out of 338,800 (95.9) abortions done in 2015, 124,893 (36.9) abortions were white and 121,829 (36.0) were black.
https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/67/ss/ss6713a1.htm

It is true that black women do have more abortions, but whites had more than a third of the abortions. That is more than the "occasional" abortion by a white woman that you were claiming. And, btw, not all states show the race of the person having an abortion.

"Seven in 10 (70%) women who have had an abortion indicate their religious preference is Christian"

This poster did not say that, stop lying.

I get it, you prefer death over having someone take a pill. Gotcha!

Ah yes, only the best regimes in history have called for sterilization of their population. What next, eugenics?

All that out of giving them the option to have their tubes tied or to be snipped?
Sounds like y'all want to control the black population through abortions.

Not at all.

I want women to have control over their bodies.

If it is for taking care of kids, I have no problem. The parents will spend on businessess preferably locally. Who wants to drive miles for diapers? It goes back into and stimulates the economy.

Anyone getting this money likely does not have much to begin with. Creating money out of thin air and distributing over wide berth is okay. The problem occurs when you concentrate into hands of few, have to pay interest on it to a few.

Don’t Democrats support abortion?

That’s pretty much eugenics right there. The majority of abortions are by poor people of color.

Not angry.
Concerned like most govt dallies to assist the family unit. The adult is under no obligation to use it for the minor.
The entire child support system is a burden to the one paying it and a money tree for the *cough*, ahem. Single parent milking the system. If only the funds really impacted the wellness of the minor.
I thought I read that it was an advancement on the credit system that is already on the tax form claims.
