Why the American People Have Turned Against Biden

...Biden has only been president for a little over 100 days. He supposedly got the most votes of any candidate in history. He should be wildly popular right now, considering we're still in the "honeymoon phase" of his presidency. Instead, Americans have turned on him. Why?

First, Americans don't believe Biden is the rightful president. The so-called Silent Majority believes, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Biden and the Democrats rigged and stole the election....
Your link is to yet another conservative disinformation site. If you want to discuss the polls, then let's find some actual polls to discuss.

From FiveThirtyEight

54.2% Approve
40.5% Disapprove

Gallup

54% Approve
40% Disapprove

On May 10th, the AP poll had Biden at an approval rating of 63%.

I could go on, but you get the picture. Google it for yourself if you don't believe me.

Nearly half of America didn't. It was the liberal left and ethnocentrics that wanted him just because he wasn't Trump and the latter didn't like his border/immigration policies because it didn't fit their self-serving agenda.

63% approve of what? The disasterous border crisis? Asians getting assaulted and killed by black people? The failing economy? What?

Most people don't know politics more than this.
This all day long. If you want to truly understand why Biden has a decent approval rating despite already showing us just how badly his administration is going to damage our country, simply see the post I'm responding too. This is why. He has kept a low profile. He's a nice old man. He picks flowers for his wife while on camera. He's harmless and wouldn't hurt a fly. That's the image many people have in their minds where our current president is concerned. He also has the advantage of a media which has no inclination to go after him in any way. No investigations into his past dealings, no mention of his decidedly racist behavior and associations/support of segregationists in the past, no actual pushback on anything he has done or will do whatsoever from anyone with a voice that could reach the masses. So yes, for now, until things really go totally off the rails to the point they can't hide it anymore, all the average joe knows is "he's a nice guy" who isn't sending mean tweets.

American companies really only pay the vast majority of taxes when they are profitable, and only on the portion of their business operations that are profitable. If they lose money, they can even carry those losses forward in time so that they do not have to pay taxes even when they are profitable. That is how Trump managed to avoid taxes for many years, he lost so much money that he didn't have to pay taxes.

Which means tax increases do not push companies out of business, they just take a portion of profits to support the company in which the companies do business.

Tariffs are a different thing. That is a tax that must be paid regardless of profitability, and companies that import items face increased costs, often before they can book the revenue from sales. They have to pay these taxes even if they are not profitable themselves.

Which means that the Trump emphasis on tariffs definitely hurt businesses. Biden is just walking that craziness back to support American businesses. In turn, when businesses show a profit, they can pay their fair share of conducting business in this country.
What does that first one even mean? Increasing taxes on American companies makes producing products in this country more costly. This is already a costly place to do business compared to most foreign nations, due to our wages and very expensive regulatory policies. Increasing taxes just encourages companies to take businesses overseas and utilize foreign workers (who of course pay no US taxes) to make these goods, while putting US workers out of work.

Tariffs are a tax, just like any other. However, instead of penalizing companies that produce here, they help level the playing field with other nations. Nations that have a much lower wage scale, much less cost due to environmental and safety concerns and nations that often subsidize their industries. The Democratic policies, intentionally or not, encourage businesses to shift production out of this nation. Sadly, it seems to be intentional, not simple ignorance. Virtually everything Democrats are doing seem to be aimed at harming American citizens.

Right, because tariffs on Germany, France, Britain, and Canada are on countries with low wages and no regulations.

You know why my employer has moved thousands of white collar jobs overseas? Because they can hire qualified college graduates for 25% of what Americans make, and the wide availability of high speed networks means the jobs can be done anywhere. And, there's no way to stop those jobs from migrating.

Americans are on a sugar high because the pandemic is ending. Would have happened the same way with the last guy. Biden didn’t do that. Only 42% are satisfied with the direction of our country. 50.6% are not. That’s a decline of 8.6%.

RCP Average 4/8 - 5/18 42.0 50.6 -8.6

And hopefully, neither will they fall for a collection of socialist dreamers selling class warfare and Pie-in-the-Sky.
