At this point this is a US domestic issue unless we go to war.

After accusing China of a crime and cover up, they have now cancelled the WHO second investigation. They figured the US accusations are unfriendly so no cooperation under those conditions.

China is a sovereign country. They can just close the door. The only way to get in is to blast the door open with bombs. I think America is ready for another war. I need to move away from a big city and stock up on food and then I'm ready.

That's the problem with the US, the total lack of diplomatic and social skills. Always resorting to violence, murder and conflict instead.

Already in 1958 the US military along with the losers of the Chinese civil war tried really hard to coax Eisenhower into nuking China, as was revealed recently:

No, you have it backwards. You think the US really wants to find out the origins of the pandemic? Maybe the scientists. Not average people. The investigation is not an academic one to satisfy scientific curiosity. It's politics. The goal is war. Congress just needs a good reason and enough angry people to support it.

People were angry after 9/11 and we went to Iraq based on WMD. If we go to war with China, Europeans will follow our lead just like Iraq. Plus Russia will side with China, so the UK and EU will help us.

In California if we do another internment camp, this time ethnic Chinese, the homeless situation will be solved because too much real estate is owned by Chinese. The Chinese also have big bank accounts and jewelry. Those assets can be seized if we declare war.

Nope, the situation is rather different today.

Most European countries do a lot of business with China, they would not side with the US. In the case of Iraq Europeans hardly cared because it was an irrelevant country for them. China is very relevant to Europeans.

Also, unlike back then Europeans don't trust the US anymore. That trust has been shattered by various events and scandals since then. (Today there is a new one, well, basically an old one brought back to life again, the spying on European politicians.)

A war with China would be a really stupid step for the US to take. But it wouldn't be the first time to be tempted as my link above shows.

And war over what?! The pandemic caused way fewer victims than the Spanish Flu that the Americans spread a century ago.

If anything it was a lab accident, unfortunately accidents do happen. But again, so far I don't believe in a lab accident.

That fact that the pandemic hit the US economy harder was not China's fault, but due to the poor response in the West in general. Other countries like Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan have done fine.
Early on (over a year ago) Senator Cotten correctly stated the Chinese military had been working on coronaviruses in the State-owned Wuhan Institute of Virology since it opened (just 4 years ago). AKA bio -weapons research. It is the only Level 4 lab in China so that makes perfect sense. He also correctly stated civilian coronavirus research was also carried out there.

He surmised an accidental lab leak of either a military or civilian controlled virus might have started the pandemic.

Not a crazy theory.

(I heard no suggestion China had deliberately unleashed a deadly bio weapon on their own people in China. The TDS (at the time) press tried to twist Senator Cotten’s words into that but were forced to retract.)

Working on coronaviruses is not necessarily the same as weaponizing them.
A number of labs around the world work with coronaviruses and other viruses. Some of that work serves to develop vaccines, observe the evolution of viruses, etc. In short, useful work.

French scientists visited the Wuhan lab in 2019.

Of course there is useful work to be done with viruses.

At the risk of stating the obvious I think we can conclude that the extensive virus work by the Chinese Military at the Wuhan Institute of Virology might have involved weaponizing (AKA making them more lethal and/or more deliverable). It is my understanding that the Chinese Army works with weapons.

BTW it is not a secret that the Chinese Military has been at the State-owned Wuhan Institute of Virology since it opened and it does make perfect sense in any case for the Chinese military to use China's only Level-4 Lab for their bioweapons program. I'd be shocked if they didn't. One quote from WAPO a few days ago:

It described three categories of activity that pointed to the latter scenario: the report of sick workers; the lab’s history of research on coronaviruses in bats; and findings that the lab had secretly engaged “in classified research, including laboratory animal experiments, on behalf of the Chinese military since at least 2017.” http://www.washingtonpost.com/nation...ba4_story.html

You still don't get what I'm saying. The pandemic is not the real reason. It is the excuse. The US needs to go to war with China. The pandemic is just getting people emotionally geared up.

I believe the virus was intentionally released by the Chinese government, who was working with the Democrat Party, to ensure that Trump did not win re-election.
