Just because they have not found the original animal, yet, doesn't mean it's from a lab.
Maybe they are not looking at animals in the right region. There are bats and other coronavirus-infested animals around the world. Even some maritime mammal species have them: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3911666/
I guess just reading the abstract gives you an idea that there are more species to look at...

They might check those maritime theme parks for instance, where dolphins come in contact with humans.

That is not what the WHO team said. Just yesterday I read from an Australian member who said the Chinese cooperation was at the same level he would expect from Australian colleagues if they were investigating in Australia.
Not confirming what you want to hear is not the same as not collaborating.

Just because a deadly bat coronavirus emerged adjacent to the worlds largest deadly bat coronavirus research facility does not mean the two are connected.
And just because the Chinese Government frantically erased all the lab notes and silenced all the scientists at that lab does not mean the Chinese are covering something up.
Just because Fauci is a big 'gain of function' virus research guy and the lab was a big virus 'gain of function' practitioner does not mean he is inclined to look the other way.
Just because Chinese military bioweapons research has been intertwined with civilian virus research since the day the State-owned Wuhan Institute of Virology opened in 2017 does not mean some particularly nasty 'gain of function' stuff was going on.
Really, there is nothing to see here.
Something tells me the Chinese government is out in the woods searching for the natural animal host for COVID the same way OJ was out looking for the real killer.

A few interesting questions I have though is...why the about face ? Why now ? And how did so many get on board so quickly ? Those are the questions I have.
Mine is: The Duck Billed Platypus has no natural ancestor, does that mean it was created in a lab millions of years ago?
The problem with that is that if it had been a bio weapon, the Chinese would never have been so stupid as to release it in their own country, they would have done so in some inconspicuous country far away from China, probably in Europe or Latin America.
If anything it was a lab accident, unfortunately accidents do happen. But again, so far I don't believe in a lab accident.
That fact that the pandemic hit the US economy harder was not China's fault, but due to the poor response in the West in general. Other countries like Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan have done fine.
