Why don't Democrats care that Americans overwhelmingly support voter ID laws?

Where does it benefit a party the most --- to gain majority of votes, or to repress the majority of votes?
Example: Trump could not figure out how Hilary won the popular vote and he won the presidency. Trump kept insisting the popular votes was his. Because he thought it was a popularity contest. He probably still does.
Florida already required photo ID for voting. College ID was allowed.
Florida just changed their law to remove College ID as one of the accepted IDs. Not because there was any voter fraud. Not because there were any problems with College ID. The Intent is to reduce the number of college students which cast ballots.
Republicans know that college students prefer Democrats over Republicans. So by removing College ID as acceptable ID to vote, Republicans have effectively reduced votes by college students. This was the intent of the law - to reduce votes from groups that are more likely to vote Democratic. Yes, some college students vote R. However, as a group they vote much heavier for Dems. GOP is glad to get rid of some of the college students votes, because they know overall more Dems votes will be reduced than R votes.
Republicans will always make access to voting unreachable for those who clearly are not Republicans.
And many here who think it’s “easy” to obtain ID and birth certificates have never walked in another person’s shoes.
SHAME.
So you are saying that those who are Democrats aren’t smart enough to figure out how to get a ID, or call the county courthouse where they were born to ask for one? You know that those at the dmv/and courthouse will help them? The local social services will help them too!
The election process has been rife with fraud from day one.
In the 1820s, it wasn't unusual for "Free Beer" to be offered to those who would vote the "party line."
In Upton Sinclair's "The Concrete Jungle" he related the story of the Republicans offering $5 to folks while the Democrats were offering $10. And the cheapskate Republicans lost the election.
The real gripe is that now, Democrats will have to spend more money for bogus IDs to get their fraudulent votes posted.

Who knows, maybe several thousand college students can't vote when they get to the polls and show their College Id that they used before to vote.
Or maybe because a lot of college kids were from out of state, my daughter went to college in another state, but did vote absentee ballot. Goodness, if those in college can’t figure out how to get a ID, our school system is worse then I thought.
