I don't recall Condi being a favorite to the Tea Party policy wise. For this reason, she will not be the GQP nominee in 2024. I instead Enosburg her to possibly be the nominee of Evan McMillan anti-Trump Party gets off the ground.

As for OP, Rice is both sane and competent. I’d take that any day over Trump again, and be grateful for it.
The problem is the GQP base doesn't want sanity and competentcy, they want Trump or someone like him. They want the Majorie Taylor Greenes to be out there. That is why I said in my previous post, Rice will not be presciential nominee.

It seems unlikely that there is a world where if Trump runs they will have primaries. It seems problematic for people who rode Trump's rise to power ie Desantis, what would Desantis say in a debate with Trump, If I am Desantis why dont I sit out 4 more years and really grab power once Trump goes away for sure. Something usually happens at the midterms, someone picks up steam. Condi would run counter to the populist moment we are living.

Rice was in charge for 8 years W Bush's National Security and Secretary of State. That was a MESS. If the one area that she was in charged of was a MESS and a big one, how is she is qualified and competent?
