Many centrists would give Condi Rice a serious look. She is one of the few individuals who would bring the GOP back to respectability.

It has nothing to do with "owning the libs".

At least she's sane. And that's what people want in a president. Don't see anyone having a problem with her.

So pushing the debacle of the Iraq war and the 19 year old current war are signs from a sane person? You democrats used to be against the war at one time. It's sad that your party sold their principles.

It's a sad picture. They now love McCain, Romney, Liz Cheney and now Rice. You can't make this up.

Not many people on either political side view Dubya's presidency positively which Condoleeza is widely associated with so I don't think she'll win at all.

She's going to be lumped in with other Neocon or Establishment Republicans from the get go which would hurt her appeal and popularity with the growing populist/anti-establishment sentiment in politics. She might appeal to a number of old guard Republicans or Centrists but that's about it.

And there's no way she's going to trigger liberals more than Trump because she's no where near as polarizing or enticing as a character/personality. Remember, Trump's "tough" attitude and personality with regards to addressing issues is what triggers people just as much if not more than his actual policies.

are you people on drugs? the same people that messed up on the Iraq war and other wars is going to bring back "respectability"? how can anybody believe anything about foreign policy from these people?

Her only role that she was APPOINTED (Not elected) was Security Advisor and S.o.S under 8 years of W Bush who left the office with 34% approval and 61 disapproval. How is she going to skip that in a primary in which she has never ran in a race in her life?

She is a radical leftist by modern Republican (Trumpian) standards.

I think most Democrats, if they were told that the next Republican president would be a 90s style neocon,
would be thrilled considering the modern Democratic party is political bedfellows with the neocon platform.

Even the progressives would probably see Condoleeza Rice as a preferable alternative to the populist alternative the Republicans are going full speed ahead with.

Nope, she is a Bush lightweight (neo con). She has never ran in any of election, let alone a national primary when her main record is the W Bush administration that if you think the destruction of Jeb Bush got in 2016 was bad, this would be worse.

Democrats would push for Rice in the primary and then destroy her in the general. Why would anybody run on the W Bush record?

The op was talking about triggering liberals by having her as president. No one would be triggered by her though.

how pathetic that someone thinks "owning the libs" is the highest priority for choosing a presidential candidate.

Not that it matters, while I don't particularly care for Condoleeza Rice, she's far too mainstream for delusional Trumpers who will insist on dragging the GOP even further into the realm of insanity
