Even Trump Inc - it had been tried and convicted of employing illegals?
Not only did he hire illegals - he didn't pay them as much as he promised either. https://law.justia.com/cases/federal...4/802/1425921/

I don't think it's mentioned in the linked paper above, but Trump himself negotiated with the leader of the Polish workers. I've posted links about that in the Illegal Immigration sub-forum for Oldglory before. You can look there if you care.

Here's a bit more:

Quote:
As noted in an Aug. 25, 2016, story in TIME, Trump hired a group of undocumented Polish laborers who put in “12-hour shifts with inadequate safety equipment at subpar wages that their contractor paid sporadically, if at all.”

Their hiring led to years-long litigation that Trump finally settled in 1998.

Poor, poor Donald. He hires all the best people and nobody knows how to run a company better than him, yet people under him keep sneaking around and breaking the law. His managers all trick him, his political appointees turn against him, and even his Supreme Court appointees are disloyal. Poor, poor Donald.

Not all of Canada is cold. The only western country to break into the top 20 most diverse is Canada. The United States ranks near the middle, slightly more diverse than Russia but slightly less diverse than Spain. I no longer even visit the US, and I sure wouldn't want to live there....Way too much violence.

Everybody was freaking out over Y2K and how lots of tech workers would need to be hired to fix that problem. Also, the fees paid by visa applicants were supposed to be put into a fund to train more American IT workers.

I won't go into more detail as to not further derail this thread. However, IMO, it's long past time to end the H1-B visa.
Agreed. "Employers were firing American workers and replacing them with H1-B contract workers." It's good for business in the short run, and bad America in the long run. The H1-B could be good for the country, but it's not because employers have been allowed to abuse it.

The same thing happened to blue-collared American workers. The greedy employers let them go in favor of cheap, illegal labor but they hold no visas at all.

Get a grip, will you? Seek help for your TDS! Trump is gone and your "opinion" means nothing in a court of law! Rich businessmen don't hire manual laborers themselves and it wasn't he that withheld any monies from these workers the contractor did. Now are you going to beat this thing to death? Once again, Trump himself was never tried or convicted of "knowingly" having illegals work for him. Those caught working on his golf courses in the past couple of years had used fake or stolen documents to gain employment and when discovered they were promptly fired. Trump uses e-verify on all of his properties now but you want to talk about 1983???? Nothing more to say! In fact, welcome to my ignore list.
