Looks like I’ll be eating at Cracker Barrel tonight after buying groceries at Walmart.
Those are two places I haven't set foot in a long time. I avoid Wal-Mart as much as possible. I go out of my way to avoid it. There is a Target in my city, but it's on the far side of town. I've set foot in Target far more times in the last 6 months than in Wal-Mart over the last 10 years. And Cracker Barrel, I don't really avoid it.. I have nothing against it. It just doesn't have alot of food I would eat or alot of things I'm into. Put me inside of REI and I won't come out of there (even if I don't intend to buy anything).
Hudson Valley NY - Dutchess County. No Whole Foods. There is a crackle barrel. Democrats always win the county for presidential, state....but local level Republicans do better.
I buy certain things at WF. WF is way to expensive and I do notice it attracts a certain segment of the population. I love CB as well. I think the poll is flawed. As for suburbs becoming more democrat, I think it depends. Where I live we have an influx of New Yorkers moving here trying to escape the "sh**t hole" they created by voting the wat they do. Makes me wonder if my area will become one because the new yorkers will bring the voting habits with them.

Democrats have been gaining in primarily suburban counties that have Whole Foods Markets, while Republicans have been gaining in primarily rural areas that have Cracker Barrels. The “gap” has been steadily growing since Bill Clinton won in 1992.
1992: Clinton carried 60% of Whole Food counties, but just 20% of Cracker Barrel counties for a gap of 40%.
2000: Bush carried 43% of WF counties; 75% of CB for a gap of 32%.
2008: Obama won 78% of WF counties; 36% of CB for a gap of 42%.
2016: Trump won 22% of WF counties; 74% of CB for a gap of 52%
2020: Biden won 85% of WF counties; 32% of CB for a gap of 53%

Another way of stating it from the same article; the larger the number of white college graduates in an area, the more likely it’s a Democratic area.
Schools are powerful indoctrination centers. And consider that they want to give free pre-school/daycare, along with 2 years of free college. And with that comes more indoctrination.
I have never dined at Cracker Barrel or bought anything at WF. What does that make me?
I am an Independent.
I dine at Cracker Barrel an enjoy the Haddock dinner. I went once to Whole Foods , bought a few things but was not impressed. I also go to Trader Joes when I am bored. What does that make me.. I am an independent and hate to be bored.
Or maybe it shows that white college graduates in metro areas are less prone to be influenced by racially or class tinged dog whistles.
….or in Trump’s case, a bullhorn.
Dog whistle, gas lighting all buzz words of the left.. that is boring.
