Kabul government wasn't a party to the Doha talks between the US and the Taliban. The Taliban has agreed on securing borders with Iran and Central Asian states to stop the flow of terrorist groups from Afghanistan.

The military has been doing "train, advise, assist" for years. My husband worked side by side with them doing so for at least 5 years.
Oh believe it that if they went into certain cities and neighborhoods and were as commited as the Taliban they would be eating lead, it is just that BLM and ANIFA and such kept mostly to areas safe for them.

The pipeline had the sanctions removed on behalf of Germany, and the US should not be involved anyway since that is a deal between two other countries. Fact is, the sanctions were placed because Ukraine was crying they will no longer get money from the transit fees; Germany gets the gas anyway, but the Nord 2 will just bypass Ukraine, thus denying money from it.
The US stepped in on behalf of Ukraine. The Pipeline was still being built, and it would have put the US in an awkward situation where they would have to sanction all of Germany if they started using the gas,
Someone said this but I can't remember who..."The jury is still out. But the likelihood there's going to be a Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely.

lmao, we had 2500 troops in Afghanistan when Trump left office for the whole country, now Biden's sending 3,000 troops to just one city there. What a mess, Biden has created a humanitarian crisis in a matter of days, he needs to go, he's completely incompetent.
He also sent thousands of reserve troops to Kuwait and Qatar in case the crap really hits the fan.
How stupid does one have to be to announce our withdrawal to the world, then do so before withdrawing all US civilians from the embassy?
Are you kidding? We have the equivalent with BLM/Pantifa/DSA. They terrorized the nation for months last year, and people didn't do squat in 95% of the country. They let the trash have their way. Now not all the nation is the same-after they rioted in Spokane, this trash was coming to my town the following night. Right up until hundreds of local residents lined the streets with everything from hunting rifles and shotguns, to AR-15s and AK clones. Not one window broken, not one store spraypainted, not one person assaulted, not one cop attacked.
You might have a point if 85% of the nation opposed cult of BLM, antifa, and the Democratic Party which supports and promotes them. We are essentially like an Afghanistan where our president and leaders of the elected government are endorsing the Taliban.
We just had a presidential election, and half the country voted for the candidate that was openly pro BLM. Our president is flying the Marxist BLM flag at our US embassies overseas. We are being attacked by an enemy within our own government.
