Trump's plan? What's Trump's plan got to do with it? Biden changed every aspect of whatever plan was in place so he could take any and all credit away from Trump for getting us the hell out of Afghanistan. Consider the optics he thought he would see: September 11th victory parades. Praises and shouts of a job well done all around. All of it on the anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack on the US ever. Instead, he completely embarrassed the USA.

The key missing component that makes the plan not Trump's plan: Donald Trump, the unhinged US President that everyone from Russia, to China, to North Korea, to Iran feared. The man who dealt with foreign adversaries with the threat of, "F-ck around with the USA and see what happens." Absolutely nobody is afraid of a Biden-lead US military. They know that he's a barely mentally coherent incompetent wimp. Biden obviously didn't have plan. Likely he just gave random orders between incoherent mumbling and naptimes.

Meanwhile, he blames all the victims because, "They were asking for it." All of that is on Biden and nobody else.

Pssst... Trump's plan would have everyone safely withdrawn THREE MONTHS AGO.

Biden didn't follow "Trump's plan," he terminated it. Then he implemented the Biden "Run away and abandon American citizens" plan. So far it's working great, thousands of Americans and Afghan allies will be abandoned.

Bottom line is Afghanistan has been a quagmire for decades, and every POTUS has been scrutinized & ripped for whatever role he played. How simple for all of us to be armchair quarterbacks with 20/20 hindsight. But if one is a loyal, no-questions-asked Biden supporter...then one will blindly follow him into ruin. Happy trails to you.
Two or three years before 9/11 I was scheduled to tour; Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey and a few other "istans." Everything was a go down to me faxing my technical requirements. Suddenly out of nowhere the State Department nixed the whole thing. The entire region was no longer safe for cultural exchange.

Thats how long Biden has known we have no friends in that region. I'm not blindly following him, I know he has certain knowledge that we don't have. I think even Trump is kept out of the loop (which is not normal for an ex-president) due to his erratic ideas and non-experience in foriegn policy. Biden is not supposed to tell us what he knows, Biden is well in his lane in this kind opperation.

In the very near future, 5 days or 10 days it doesn't matter, but everyone that "we" care about will be out of Afghanistan. If the Taliban and Isis is smart they would hope there will no retribution owed them by us. Without the chance of collateral damage even a 13 year old with a joy stick 1000's of miles a way can take them out.

Of course. The Leftist elitists and Biden don't care about what Americans want anyways, so what makes you think Biden needed to ask Americans for their approval on this topic? Furthermore, Biden has taken Trump's America First and shot steroids into it with the way he has disregarded our allies and partners.
